I’ve always preferred to play any PS system on a Sony TV.

So same tv with different result.

I too am attempting to play The Show on a high-end 2018 Samsung 4K HDR TV.

Have you tried turning off Game Motion Plus under the Game Mode settings? It can be found by selecting External Device Manager.

I noticed a slight (but noticeable) difference in the ball having a stutter I am experiencing when pitched, hit, or thrown in the field of play.

If not I suggest at least giving that a try. Certainly improved my experience playing the game.

TV costing 100 dollars or 5000 dollars do not make Frame rates improve....Someone saying this is making things up without factual evidence

There is nothing more rewarding than pitching with a pitcher who has command that day of all his pitches.

On the flip side, there is nothing more frustrating than pitching with a pitcher who has no command that day of any of his pitches.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I have a samsung 4K as well. I got wise and switched to game mode and it seems to have gotten better I think. I also had to retune my hitting. The first 2-3 games I was early on every pitch. I am sure this isn't anyone else's problem, I just had never bothered to check.

And the idiot (me) who thought he'd get his complete game with my 1995 Indians franchise and watch Orel Hershiser surrender a 3-run HR with a 4-1 lead blow it. And then watch my closer (Jose Mesa) go an extra inning of relief and surrender the HR that lost it for me. Then sitting there deflated for 2 minutes because I knew I was an idiot.

If folks are going to post their TVs, unless you include a model number, it's pretty much meaningless.

Samsung makes several tiers of TV. Just being 4K does not mean it is top tier TV.

Thanks for the tip but i already turned it off when playing 18.
I was silky smooth after that on 18. On 19....not so much.

My TV : 2018 Samsung QE65Q9FN, with full array local dimming.
I have turned auto motion of (this caused stuttering on 18, but once it was off all was super smooth).
TV automatically detects my ps4 pro so game mode is set automatically.

Anyone else use Quick Manage? Does it seem to operate "funky" in regards to the dots displaying runners and advancing bases?

I quick manage all my minor league games so that I have a hands on approach to how players are used and such, and it just feels as though something is off.

Also frustrating that you cannot double switch in quick manage, unless you jump into the game and back out, which causes another issue...missing stats.

Pretty disappointed with crowd distribution again. Thing is, attendance numbers are pretty great - seeing a lot of my early-season games with 16-19,000 on weekdays, then like 21-32,000 on weekends. That part is pretty fantastic. Problem is, those 16k games still LOOK pretty friggin packed, what you’d expect from more like 28 or even 34k, and those weekend games look like they might as well be sellouts.

It’s like, bros, 17k is 60% empty seats at most places. Even a “nice crowd” of 30k should still be pushing a good 15-20,000 empty seats. Why not get it right?

It’s not some secret that nobody draws very well in April, and trudging through a bunch of empty games early on would only make the mid-summer games with a good turnout feel all the more significant. Would love to see them tweak this.

I don’t actually care about any of this.

I’ve also noticed they’ll post the attendance around the 8th inning, but then when Matt tells us the attendance at the end of the game it’s usually way off.
