In franchise mode , how do you unlock sponsors (offline) ? And do you recommend using them (for all teams ?)
Finally , do you know if this game gets gameplay updates/tuning (without dL a patch , like nba 2k) ?

How does this glitch activate? Is there a thread discussing this in more detail?

I'm not sure what causes it, as I've never experienced it myself, but I don't jump into games. I just deal with the fact that there is no double switching in my minor league games.

I don't think there is a dedicated thread, it was just talked about in bugs/glitches thread.

You unlock sponsors by obtaining their respective card. If you're going to use them for one team I would use them for all as they increase money in your budget by meeting the goal/expectation set forth by the particular sponsorship.

Note the CPU teams do not utilize sponsorship/sponsorship dollars.


No tuning/gameplay updates outside of what is done via a patch. MLB The Show doesn't use "tuners".

This is a sounds of the show question and I've been through all of those threads (and YouTube videos) but can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for. So I've already uploaded music to the game and the only thing I'm having trouble doing is getting music to play in-between innings and when home runs are hit etc.

So under assign team audio I have all the songs that I want played in those certain situations ready to go but when I actually play the game none of those songs play. The only thing that plays is the generic MLB the show crap. What am I missing? No I didn't edit any files because I dont mind having all of the songs play from the beginning but do I have to edit song length, where in the song I want to clip to start and all that before I get it to work??? Help me please.

Did you assign music for all three themes? Are you playing on a theme that you didn't assign music to? Are you the home team? Jeers will only play if you are the away team. Do you have Continuous Music turned off? Do you have unlocked audio assigned (home run calls, other sounds) and do they play?

What seems to be the mean age that players retire in franchise? I’ve never paid attention to it in RTTS.

I don't know that there really is a set age in which players retire. I have several players still playing in my franchise that are 36+ years of age. Joey Votto and Miguel Cabrera are both 39 and they are still playing this game.

This is a change that SDS made a year ago to address players hitting that magic number and retiring. Now if they are still performing, they will continue to play.

How do I update the new roster ratings each time? It says online that I go to diamond dynasty then go to "roster" and save them but I cant find it. I just got the latest update when I turned on the game, but they're still completely different from what shows up the shows website. Like Mookie Betts is a 97 rating but on the shows website it says he regressed 2 points this week from 90 to 92. Any ideas guys? Thanks in advance.

Hi guys just a quick Roster question here... I want to start a Mets Franchise. I plan on using OSFM set. After Simming spring training I see Carlos Gomez makes the starting lineup as a backup. I tried to send him down to AAA,as I would like to call up Brandon Nimmo from AAA. It’s says Gomez can’t be sent down unless I place him on waivers. I’m definitely not familiar with all the waivers,options,40 man ect. Is there a way to send Gomez down safely so I don’t loose him? Thanks in advance for any help out there.

No, he has to be put on waivers in order to go down to AAA.

A player gets 3 minor league options in their career. When the player is sent down during a season (whether it’s once or ten times) one option is used.

What all this equates to is Gomez is out of minor league options and needs to be placed on waivers to be sent down. If his overall is low 70s(ish) he’ll probably go unclaimed though.
