If you make changes to a players attributes in Franchise, will they really make any difference? Ex. Giving a player a power increase or decrease.

I mean, the difference between 99 power and 50 power could be 30 home runs or it could be 5. It really just all depends.

But yeah ratings matter quite a bit.

What I tend to do is make sure that, if nothing else, a guy’s ratings make sense to me and match up with my understanding of the player. If you think a guy should be 99 power because reasons, go for it. If you think a guy’s overrated, make those tweaks so that his ratings make sense to you.

Hello everybody, I am new here. I have a doubt, why everytime I play in PLAY NOW MODE using the live rosters the commentators say the exact same things about the two teams and why are there so many errors with the stats of the teams and players? Its really annoying

Simple question...when doing contract negotiations, does the player EVER change their expectations? I'll offer something and they'll say 'I want more', but then don't want to haggle. Is it a case of waiting multiple days and seeing if it's changed? Or do you just have to give what they want?

I just signed my draft picks and tried to mess with giving slightly less and they all said no, next day all said no, then I just signed them to what they wanted.

Same question goes for trades...if they say no, do they ever counter offer? Or is it just for you to keep countering.

I have had players blink before in contract negotiations, but it's rare.

As for trades, you will not get counter offers. It's entirely up to you.

Question for off season franchise.

Lost majority of my roster from miners. Restarted my franchise cause I got frustrated. Can someone explain to me how to keep my players and the whole contracts and signing players during the off season please and thank you. Also what about the draft where you can draft players from other teams. What’s that about. During the off season.

A good rule of thumb would be to offer a contract to every player that you want to keep - even if it is for 15 years at $70K per year. I believe the non-tender deadline is Nov 30. If a guy is arbitration eligible you have to offer them arbitration or sign them by the deadline - if a guy is renewable you just have to offer them a contract by this day. In the last week of the offseason you can renew (resign) these guys for pretty much whatever you want.

My guess is you are not offering contracts to these guys and after Nov 30 if they have not been tendered a contract they become free agents.

Do sliders only apply when you play?

All I can tell you for sure is that the injury slider does effect simmed games. Beyond that I am unsure, although I do know there are many here on OS who are convinced they do impact simmed games, just in a different way, and have different slider settings for when they sim.

I''m still playing '18, but after watching some Twitch streams recently, '19 sure "looks" good, and it has me contemplating whether I should go ahead and upgrade this late in the season or just wait for '20?

Obviously the choice is yours to make, but as someone who thoroughly enjoyed '18, '19 is a much better playing game, especially the defense.
