That makes me 1-7 over my last 8 games, including a six-game losing streak. I’m 18-22 on the year and the most games I’ve won consecutively is three. I have never, ever had this much of an issue winning games.

I feel like the game is just generally more difficult this year.

I struggled like this for the better part of the entire first half of the season in my own franchise. Not sure what exactly clicked for me but I went on an 8 game win streak just before the break and since then I've played pretty good baseball. I'm only 56-55 on the year, but at one point in the year I was 12 games under .500.

With the sliders I'm using and this year's game, it's definitely a challenge. I'll be honest though, this is some of the most fun I've had in MLB The Show. Last year I went 120-42 and won the World Series while only dropping one game in the post season. While that was cool and all, this year's challenge is a lot more fun to me. Makes a win feel so much more gratifying.

All that being said, I'm about to stream my first game of a 3 game set against the Dodgers on Twitch. This is a huge series as both teams are just 4.5 games back of the Wild Card chase.

    See ya in there!

What slider adjustments do you use? I’m pretty close to Armor’s but I have my pitch control and CPU solid hits a default (5). I know Armor has his CPU solid hits at 4 and while I’m still indecent shape for home runs surrendered, the past few games have been ridiculous. I’ve given up 13 homers in my last three games. Including eight in one game in a 15-5 drubbing at the hands of the Brewers. My strikeouts have been low all year but the past few games I REALLY can’t strike anyone out. I probably have recorded 6-7 strikeouts over the past two games, total.

        3RD TIME’S A CHARM
        A Los Angeles Dodgers Franchise

I flying through the 2019 season as I have taken a slightly different approach to my Franchise this year. I have not once played multiple seasons in one iteration of the game so I chose to play through an accelerated season. I chose to play 2 games each versus all opponents in my division(NL West). One game on the road and one at home. Then I play each opponent I have during the season once, preferably on the road although there are a few AL teams I only have a series with at home. This has become quite enjoyable for me.

As of today, I’m at the All Star Break. And controlling the National League All Stars I won 4-1(Not that it means anything anymore in terms of the World Series, just thought it’d be fun to play).

Here are some notes half way through my season with the 2019 Dodgers.

Current Playoff Seeding if the Season Ended Today:

NL East - Philadelphia Phillies (53-38, RDIFF +64)
NL Central - Milwaukee Brewers (57-34, RDIFF +87)
NL West - Colorado Rockies (55-36, RDIFF +109)
NL Wild Card #1 - Chicago Cubs (54-36, RDIFF +96)
NL Wild Card #2 - Los Angeles Dodgers (54-38, +96)

AL East - Boston Red Sox (63-28, RDIFF +110)
AL Central - Minnesota Twins (54-35, RDIFF +117)
AL West - Houston Astros (61-30, RDIFF +114)
AL Wild Card #1 - New York Yankees (51-39, RDIFF +82)
AL Wild Card #2 - Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (51-41, RDIFF EVEN)

        Mid-Season Awards -

        NL MVP
        Christian Yelich(MIL) (.367, 31HRs, 75RBI)
        AL MVP
        J.D. Martinez(BOS) (.311, 25HRs, 76RBI)
        NL Cy Young
        Stephen Strasburg(WSH) (W-L 11-1, 2.52ERA, 134Ks)
        AL Cy Young
        Chris Sale(BOS) (W-L 10-3, 2.22ERA, 159Ks)
        NL Rookie of the Year
        Brendan Rogers(COL) (.287, 15HRs, 42RBI)
        AL Rookie of the Year
        Vlad Guerrero Jr.(TOR) (.292, 10HRs, 26RBI)

        Los Angeles Dodgers Notes:

        Mid-Season MVP
        Max Muncy (.284, 18HRs, 70RBI)

        Mid-Season Cy Young
        Hyun-Jin Ryu (W-L 8-3, 2.42ERS, 114Ks)

        Mid-Season ROY
        Alex Verdugo (.277, 5HRs, 25RBI)

        Trades:
Dodgers Send LF Joc Pederson to Marlins for LHP Jarlin Garcia, and CF Lewis Brinson.
        Free Agency

I'm actually using Mike Lowe's sliders, but I don't use Directional hitting. I'm playing on Legendary Pitching, HoF Batting. I think I may have tweaked his sliders on one or two different areas, but I honestly can't remember. If you'd like I could look at my sliders next time I'm online and tell you what I'm playing on.

I'm almost dead last in the MLB in Strikeouts, but I've been putting together some better outings here as of late. I struck out 12 (most this season) with Wacha the other day in a loss to the Cubs.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. was my lone All Star. Vlad Jr made a push to get on the team hitting .320 at the break with 10 hr's and 35 RBI. Saving him the first 20 games likely cost him a spot.

Late July came around and I decided to sell, CP Ken Giles was traded for Riley Pint of COL. Nice young prospect to develop. Rowdy Tellez came back from injury and there was now a logjam at 1B with Gyorko/Smoak/Tellez. Smoak was traded for a B potential RP prospect.

The Blue Jays played .500 ball in August and September despite Sanchez and Stroman struggling in the 2nd half. Stroman was 7-3 with a 2.3ERA at the break. Finished 11-11 with a 3.77.

I finished 2019 with a 73-89 record playing one game a series, Mike Lowe Sliders. Some highlights

Vlad wins ROTY with a line of .350AVG, 18HR, 74 RBI
Bo came in 2nd with a line of: .267, 12 HRs, 56 RBI, 17 SB
            Gyorko was a massive addition: .295, 28HRS, 105 RBI
Gurriel JR All star with a line of: .312, 8HR's, 45 RBI

Jays offense was much better then expected. 4th in the MLB in average and hits. Starting rotation struggled, Shoemaker and Borucki had over a 5 ERA, Young pitcher Thornburg threw a respectable 4.3ERA. The bullpen was atrocious and was the true downfall of the team, not a single reliever had under a 3.2ERA.

            Draft:
            1st RD: SP Burris, A 98 potential 21 years old. 68 Overall
2nd RD: LF McMahon, A 92 Potential, 19 yrd old, 74 Overall, 65+ power both sides already, with 77 speed, and over 70 fielding. Only 40's contact

Red Sox dominated with 110 wins and won the World Series over the Dodgers.

            Blue Jays offseason time.
Blue Jays had an interesting offseason. They decided to Re-sign Gyorko after his great year to a 2 year deal. In the same vein as the Acuna JR signing the Jays wanted to lock up Vlad and Bo.

Vlad signed an 8 year $125 million dollar deal that is backloaded.
Bo signed an 8 year $80 million dollar deal that is also backloaded.

            Free Agent Additions:
Madison Bumgarner 5 Yr 100 mill, frontloaded
            RP Tony Watson
            2B Ben Zobrist
            RP Adam Libertore
            CP- Cody Allen
            C- Johnathan Lucroy (backup)
Traded SP Shoemaker for NYM RP Lugo
            RP Sam Tuivailala (Rule 5)

Blue Jays had alot of money to spend but did not want to break the bank. The Jays felt they needed a veteran presence at the top of the rotation and Bumgarner made sense. The deal is frontloaded in case the Jays dont contend the first couple years they wont feel the need to break the bank.

The bullpen was the main area of addition for the jays, with an almost entirely new look. Lucroy was added as a backup catcher to Jansen

Zobrist will play alot of RF and 2B. Moving Grichuk to CF. It was between Kemp, Markakis and Zo, but Zobrists ability to play all over made the decision easier despite being 38.

White Sox end the 2022 season winning the AL Central with a 110-52 Record.

Offensively we finished as the number one team in average hitting .287. We were only the the seventh team in runs scored with 734 and 17th in homers as a team with 169.

Our pitching staff had the best ERA in the Majors at 2.93, giving up the least amount of runs with 492 and the least amount of homers with 140.

Also of Note Chicago Cubs Closer Pedro Strop broke the MLB single season saves record posting 66 saves.

Looking ahead to the Playoffs we are looking to make a deeper run this year after getting swept in the ALDS a year ago, as we will face the winner of the Wild Card game between Baltimore and Minnesota.

AL East Champion Boston will the face the AL West Champion Oakland.

The NL Wild Card game has St Louis up against Atlanta.

Winner of that will face the NL Central Champion Cubs.

NL West Champion Colorado will face NL East Champion Philadelphia.

Undoubtedly one of my most insane finishes on The Show. I've been struggling with the Cubbies but was recently looking for my third straight win. I had a 2-1 lead over the Nationals in Washington after a Kris Bryant solo homer gave me the lead late in the game.

After Strop recorded the first two outs in the ninth I needed to retire pinch hitter Howie Kendrick to earn the win and record the save. However, Kendrick connected on a Strop slider and here's the result....

2024 Chicago White Sox End Of April Update
Overall Record:19-9 (1st in AL Central)

Sox road to three peat off to a hot start
After repeating as champions in 2023, the Chicago White Sox had some major decisions to make. Several key players were set to be free agents and when it was all said and done, some key players from their back to back championships just couldn't be brought back.

The White Sox chose to keep their dynamic duo in the middle of the infield intact by signing Yoan Moncada to a five year $155 MIL deal. This was just a year after resigning the other half of that duo, Tim Anderson to a five year deal of his own worth $157 mil.

These deals kept the best middle infield in Chicago but understandably, other key players weren't able to be brought back.

Among these players were the 2022 and 2023 MVPS in Rhys Hoskins and Michael Conforto. Hoskins ended up signing with Colorado while Conforto signed with Oakland.

Still even with their losses and a few more, the White Sox end the first month of the season in first place and have been rated as the best team in baseball by experts that cover the MLB.

The top spot in the central wasnt easy to come by and did take winning six of the teams last seven games. Currently, Minnesota (19-10) is .05 games back, Cleveland (18-12) is third while Kansas City (10-18) and Detroit (10-20) bring up the rear.

May will see the Sox try to extend their lead, starting with the final of a two game set with the Atlanta Braves (13-16).

After Strop recorded the first two outs in the ninth I needed to retire pinch hitter Howie Kendrick to earn the win and record the save. However, Kendrick connected on a Strop slider and here's the result....

The link didn't work, but I'm assuming that you won the game?

I started my 3 game series with the Dodgers last night in LA and ended up getting blown out in the first game 11-3. I started out well by scoring a run in the top half of the 1st inning, but the Dodgers answered right back in the bottom half with a 2 run HR off the bat of Max Muncy. It only went downhill from there.

I'm about to stream game 2 and possibly game 3 of the series over on my twitch channel. Link is in my signature, come follow along.

Yes, robbed the home run for the win. Ball was hit to left field at Nationals Park, so Schwarber was probably 12-13 feet up there to grab it. Haha.

I'm currently 43-37 and have leap frogged the Cardinals into second place in my Cubs 2025 season. It was a crazy game against the Cardinals in Wrigley. I put up 9 in the first inning and instantly gave 5 of them back in the top of the 2nd. during the 3rd thru 8th inning I increased the lead to 13-5 but had to use my Closer to secure a 13-10 win.

Is it just me or is this years game more addictive lol. I mean in years past I would get bored with playing franchise mode, but even with no big changes this year I feel like I cant get enough of it. Wondering if anyone else feels this way as well?

Total agreement! Still not sure if it’s the game or my particular franchise that gets the credit though! (Maybe little of each) But definitely engrossed to this point so far lol
