Re: Official MLB The Show 19 Fantasy Draft Franchise Progress Thread
Well I'm in middle of another draft because forgot to save the last one lol (autosave turned off) but how I do my drafts is that I count how many 95+,90+,85+,80 etc overalls there are. I divide them into sections of every 5 overall is different section. So I divide the total number of players in that section by 30(Total # of MLB teams) and get my number. If it's over .5 then I can get a player from that section.
For example there is only 9 players with overall above 95+ so when u divide 9 by 30= .03 it's under .5 so I'm not able to get a 95+ overall player.
Another example is there are 61 players with a overall between 85-89. So 61 divided by 30= 2.03 so I can get 2 players with a overall between 85-89. So I do this all the way to the 50 overalls.
I cant get a player with a same overall unless I'm able to choose 6+ players from a section since theres only 5 overalls in a section. I decided to do my team I plan on using (Mariners) this way so I'm not cheating the computer when I do 30man fantasy draft. I also counted number of A potential players and divided by 30 and got 9. So in total my team can only get a maximum of 9 A potential players total. All the other teams I'm drafting for I use the recommended pick button and just choose the top player. For me this seems to be the best and most fair way to draft my team.
I use the default rosters and just redid the contracts (In the vault) because real life contracts dont work at all in the game.Comment

Re: Official MLB The Show 19 Fantasy Draft Franchise Progress Thread
Finally finished my fantasy draft again!!! Made a couple trades.

SP Johnnie Wynn 61 D
2B Jaime Elez 53 D
After the trades I adjusted my lineups and bullpen and simmed thru Spring Training. Which didn't go to well we had a record of 11-15 so not what we were hoping for.
Cold Players:
CF A.J. Pollock .200, 3HR, 4RBI
RF Carlos Gonzalez .221, 0HR, 2RBI
3B Kyle Seager .203, 3HR, 9RBI
Hot Players:
2B Ozzie Albies .256, 3HR, 8RBI
TEAM LEADERS:
AVG: Albert Pujols .407
OPS: Albert Pujols 1.333
HR: Justin Upton 6
RBI: Max Muncy 12
Our offense and pitching was mostly terrible for the spring so they are hoping to turn it around when the games actually do matter. Time to set the 25man roster and see how things shake outComment

Re: Official MLB The Show 19 Fantasy Draft Franchise Progress Thread
The Mariners make a surprising move at the end of spring training in trading RP Diego Castillo and a B rated shortstop to the Phillies for RP Seranthony Dominguez who had a terrible spring. So now the 25 man roster is all set.

Re: Official MLB The Show 19 Fantasy Draft Franchise Progress Thread
The Cubs (28-12) are in first place and just 3 games ahead of the Reds and the Cardinals. Seeing how tight the NL central (and NL in general) is, GM Joe Smith pulled the trigger on 3 trades in the last week. “Im always trying to improve the team, and if I’m not then I’m not doing my job. That being said, I feel like we got good value and brought in some guys that can really help us toward our ultimate goal of winning another World Series”.
Trade #1: SS Scott Kingery, RP Boone Logan, CF Austin Jackson sent to the Phillies for RP Tanner Scott & SS Justin Brown.
Trade #2: SP Chance Adams, RP Daniel Hudson, SP Pierre Gibbons (B) sent to the twins for LF Khris Davis & RP Kirby Yates.
Trade #3: LF Justin Upton, RP Jim Johnson to the angels for SP Dustin London (18/68/C) and RP Ian Hamilton (B)
Thoughts:
Trade #1: the first trade saw the cubs #2 prospect head to the Phillies as the headliner on the cubs end. Kingery was blocked at the majors, and getting the power lefty Scott who’s just 24 and controllable for 4 more years was a no brainer for a team with WS hopes. Boone Logan was also shipped out to fill the hole Scott left in the Phillies pen.
Trade #2: the cubs #1 prospect coupled with gibbons, brought some much needed power to a team that ranks 30th in homeruns on the season. Davis is a free agent at years end and should be resignable. Kirby Yates was a luxury piece on a team going nowhere, and will now lengthen a deadly cubs bullpen.
Trade #3: the angels are just 2 games ahead of the Astros for first place. Enter Justin Upton, their new DH. The cubs were able to secure some decent young pitching prospects, and shed Uptons massive contract.

That team is stacked man!!!! What an OF.
I commit to Machado. Higher overall potential, elite stick, elite glove, SS or 3B. Baez is also a great player......but I go with the Machado (as much as I don’t like him personally). Now Playing on PS5:
