I’m enjoying it despite the issues mentioned. Yes I’d like to be able to make adjustments and I don’t care about rewards. But I’ve never been able to play a full season let alone franchise and this gives me a way to do that.

It’s my hope they will expand and improve this mode this year and in the future.

They did add new features to franchise mode. Lol

I know people don’t believe this but SDS’s mentality towards franchise hasn’t turned to “**** franchise and the diehards that play it”

There are reasons why some the things people want in franchise haven’t been added yet, but no one wants to accept those reasons and choose to let a frustrated opinion replace fact.

As far as I'm concerned they didn't add enough for me and what they did wouldn't be classed as features. The fact it didn't get its own stream reinforces that. Like I said, I believe that SDS intended to add features but they couldn't find a way to build DD elements into it and went this route instead. I'm sure the higher-ups are prioritising stuff that brings in more revenue for them, so it's not a knock on the devs at all and my opinion doesn't mean others won't enjoy this mode. I'll continue to love '18 for now which is the best sports game I've played, I'm quite happy.

I think it comes down to this franchise is simply not a priority and I don’t see that changing. I believe this to be the trend we’re going to see more of across all sports games.

By definition the franchise mode is playable but lacks depth. Spend a couple hours with something like OOTP and it becomes more glaring. It’s why this mode appeals to me. I can just play the games. I have other methods (OOTP) to get my franchise jollies.

If we could just combine OOTP off the field and. The Show on the field I’d have to quit my job.

There are DD rewards for winning it (and ONLY winning it). That's the only connection.

Finally got my copy and tried this mode first. I’m stunned you can’t control at least call ups/25man roster. I started as Giants and am stuck with 4 catchers and can’t call up anyone. I anticipate they’ll update rosters, which means I’ll have to restart the mode. But even then, let me me set my ML roster. If I want to call up my rookies and leave Cueto in the minors, why can’t I?

I just figured out in this mode you can go into Settings and adjust your lineup however you see fit. I thought I had seen it posted you couldn't even do that so I didnt bother looking. I know you cant adjust the 25 man roster but this is a decent compromise. Also I was overwhelmed the first couple days with the pitch speed. Even on Allstar. Now it seems like nothing as I've adjusted. I'm by no means a great hitter so for those dismayed by that just stick with it...

I fully understand why people want to do what you describe but unfortunately I understand that since this mode offers rewards for winning they lock things down to keep a level playing field for everyone.

My issue is it's win it all OR NOTHING. Give SOMETHING if you lose... or a chance to restart at some point...

What's worse is the CPU blatantly cheats. I constantly have GOOD / SQUARED UP swings end up being lined out straight to their OF or line drives to 1B or 3B, yet the CPU can get LATE / WEAK and hit shots into the gap....

And let's not even begin to discuss how they foul off 4-5 pitches in a row before getting a hit; when they're shown to be nowhere NEAR the ball on these fouled off pitches.

I've won games on Hall of Fame, but there's no way I'd even try these games on anything after Veteran. The scripting is worse than a WWE event.

I think the original concept of moments was cool. Play this moment as Babe Ruth or Willie Mays or Cal Ripken Jr.

But to have to play one 15 times at least just to get the result needed is a bad design. I understand the rewards behind it so it has to be a challenge, but I gave up quickly after that.

Give us the same mode but without the stipulations and rewards. Just say, hey, play this awesome game in the history of baseball. Let us relive these moments and nothing more. That would be a good idea I feel like.

I am in the same boat! I honestly enjoy the mode a lot and love the pressure of the moments when playing. But my God I am late on every pitch lol. I'm definitely getting older cause I don't remember me being this bad just a couple years ago.

If I can practice and get my timing down I'd be all in on this mode. Fast and enjoyable.
