Re: Question for manage mode users
Go to options during a game. Click on gameplay. You will see something called "decision timer". You can adjust it to 6 seconds, 4 seconds, 2 seconds, off. If you set it to off you will still see the menu briefly and then it will vanish until the next pitch. The menu does provide some valuable information and you will find it isn't as much of a nuisance for just a second - and you still can pause the game between pitches even if you have it set to off.
If you try that I suspect it won't bother you nearly as much.≡Comment

Re: Question for manage mode users
But it's not like an actual delay, right? It just stops and says we have a rain delay and its over in 2 seconds and you have to bring in a new starter or not, and that's about it. I don't know man. I get what you're saying I just would rather have so many others options more than that.JUUUUUUUST A BIT OUTSIDEComment

Re: Question for manage mode users
Thanks for the response. Hard to understand how an issue going on for 2 years now is a sunrise though. Appreciate the response thoughI asked a programmer to look into the manager mode injury issue. We will find out if they are indeed turned off, and why. Perhaps it is something we can patch in later.
The spring training substitution issue is also known and assigned to a programmer. We are focusing on fixing major issues first, before we look into adjusting minor things in a future patch.
No idea on rain delays, first I’ve ever heard of it.Comment

Re: Question for manage mode users
It's great to have a developer focusing on manage mode issues. Regarding injuries it wasn't a problem until mlbts18. Prior to that injures were fine. Not sure if that helps or not but something changed in the code for 18.I asked a programmer to look into the manager mode injury issue. We will find out if they are indeed turned off, and why. Perhaps it is something we can patch in later.

Re: Question for manage mode users
Thank you for responseBy overlay, I assume you mean the entire new menu system. That’s the new design I was speaking of and there is no way to “fix” it. Everything is now contained in one easy to use menu for offense and defense. Sorry you don’t like it, hopefully you adjust and grow to in the future

Thanks for listening and at least responding Adam. Glad to know it doesn't fall on deaf ears.I asked a programmer to look into the manager mode injury issue. We will find out if they are indeed turned off, and why. Perhaps it is something we can patch in later.

Great job!
The new menu is awesome. I actually really like it better then other iterations. Love all the info on it. It's like looking at a managers card.
Injuries are a must or it's no point having a minor league system. Rain delays would be nice and great as a manager to have to game plan for, but injuries in my opinion are more important.
Again, thanks for feedback and letting us know you guys are out there.

MLB 23 FOREVER 20 is better, 23 just for Guardians
Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.Comment

Re: Question for manage mode users
Well if it's a 45 min delay, you could go do something for 45 min and then come back to the game lol.But it's not like an actual delay, right? It just stops and says we have a rain delay and its over in 2 seconds and you have to bring in a new starter or not, and that's about it. I don't know man. I get what you're saying I just would rather have so many others options more than that.

Re: Question for manage mode users
For anybody who is wondering whether bug reports work - last year in manage mode there was an issue where if the AI went into bunt defense expecting the user controlled batter to sacrifice the batter would not swing at a pitch. If the user didn't order the batter to bunt he would just stand there until he either walked to struck out looking.
I submitted a bug report. Problem fixed. I also submitted a bug report for injuries and the developer indicated earlier in this thread they are looking at the problem.
Also it's a small sample size but I'm not seeing as many wild pitches so far in 19.
As always I'll reserve the right to gripe and complain but I have to say mlbts 18 was great when they finished patching gameplay but I believe 19 is even better.
Another thing - they have changed attributes to diminish the number of base stealers in the game to accurately reflect what has happened IRL. A lot of players with great speed have poor steal attribute. There are still a few base stealers but not as many as before.
Gameplay has also changed and it appears for the better.
That's not intended to sugar coat the lack of attention to franchise - still a lot of room to add and improve - but there have been improvements and it appears to me 19 is the best ever.≡Comment

Re: Question for manage mode users
The game uses 2 different engines, one for playing out the game and one for simming. I really get no offense from either team in MoM, but if I sim games there is much more offense.
I've tested the play out/sim thing several times by playing out games without saving at the end, the sim the game, then play out again, then sim again. The results are quit different in sim games.
I'm probably going to begin simming the first 5 innings every game because when I play it out no one ever scores in the first 3 innings, and rarely score in inning 4 & 5. There is no separation in skills between a pitcher rated 90 and one rated 70.Last edited by JHodges57; 04-11-2019, 06:41 AM.Comment

My offense seems fine to me but the CPU offense seems off because my pitchers aren't that great , would sliders help? The game uses 2 different engines, one for playing out the game and one for simming. I really get no offense from either team in MoM, but if I sim games there is much more offense.

I'm seeing plenty of offense in mlbts 19 manage mode on default sliders and I'm using old Miami which is a pitcher friendly ballpark. The game uses 2 different engines, one for playing out the game and one for simming. I really get no offense from either team in MoM, but if I sim games there is much more offense.

That's good I'm seeing good offense from my team but my below average pitching staff is putting up a lot of zeros and one run games.JUUUUUUUST A BIT OUTSIDEComment
