I was the first to complain about frame rate and the reponse I was given was “give your copy to me” lol.

I don’t get how some have used the words “silky smooth” to describe this games frame rate.. it’s horrible and really amazing that it was considered shippable

Baseballguy I feel you. It is bad. I play the hell out of mlb the show and last year was so much smoother it's not even funny. The way the ball comes in is terrible. Never like that in any stadium in 18. It really does take the fun out of it. The sad thing is that it looks great but really hurts the playability factor.

In sports games frame rate must be king, especially in baseball. It’s worth sacrificing graphics to ensure a solid frame rate. All other sports games on the market are solid 60fps and never drop below...madden, nhl, fifa, nba 2k

I agree 100 percent. I believed they patched the framerate one year and it made it a Lil better. I hope they can attempt this again via patch.

I say that all the time! Its unacceptable these days, and for THE PRICE!

We were already called out for being the usual suspects that yearly claim there is fps issues so we are all just full of it and trying to derail the positive talk

The framerate is horrid compared to last year. It's so bad I won't even start a franchise with my Stros. What other stadiums does this happen in? I'm telling ya.... Houston is bad!! SCEA should be ashamed of themselves!! No excuse for this crap.

Yankee stadium and Houston are worst, anything with lots of crowd in the outfield

Also anyone else noticing weird disappearing/dotted foul lines and batter/coaching boxes in the new pre-pitch cams? Doesn’t happen all the time, but multiple times per game. I’ve taken several screenshots if anyone would like me to post them.

I just played 2 games one in Toronto and one in Houston. I'm on the Pro with HDR turned on and using faster performance. The game in Toronto was flawless as far as performance, when playing in Houston there is a little bit of stuttering with the framerate but nothing major.

So I guess the only thing we can start to do here is compare notes to try and narrow down why some of us see a worse fps than others? Just comparing the faster mode from 18 to 19, 19 is definetly choppier for me. It's not awful or anything, but it's kinda like the choppiness that I always saw in this game prior to getting a pro last year and switching to faster mode.

So heres my possibly relevant information:

Glacier white pro

Digital version installed on an external hdd

Have not tried a full restart of ps4 after installation, will try later

Have not tried a database rebuild yet

Connected to internet via ethernet

Definetly noticed it at Yankee Stadium worse than I did great American

Been playing with hdr on, haven't tried disabling yet

Im going to try disabling the new pre pitch camera and batter walkups just to see if there is an effect, started wondering last night if they are loading something in the background to handle the pre pitch camera

One thing to keep in mind is that some people don't notice fps drops as easily as others, and some people even have motion smoothing enabled on their tvs which will hide it as well at the expense of input lag. So that could explain a small amount of the people who don't see the drops.

Its definitely showing frame rate issues in every part of the Game. Mostly Gameplay. The question now is "Are they able to "Patch" something like this up?
They never admit it, and I have done everything to contact them..
Im sooooooo tired of dealing with this specific issue every year?
I always look forward to playing the next year, and year after year they get my money, and still the same issues.. 18 was close but Cut Scenes were still awful.
My Hype has turned to disappointment today.. I can't play this way. Again

I just played 18 and the "Gameplay on the field" is way smoother..

IT must Be something with the show 19 !!!

I just put 18 back in and it runs smooth also with hdr on sharpest settings.

Put on 19 even if leave it on faster it stutters on every single pitch. It gets even worse when you have baserunners on the field...

I hope there will be a fix at the moment I can't play it like this

This prob explains why I was having so much trouble tracking the ball while hitting at yankee stadium. I was starting to think the hitting was harder this year. Then next game different stadium and I had no issues. Guess I wont be playing at yankee stadium or Houston.

Just wanted to drop in here and say that I do see some of the issues others have mentioned. However, at this time this isn't a rehash of my issues with '16 for one very important reason - it is not affecting my ability to play the game. I'm playing on Legend vs the CPU and more than holding my own, so I don't feel like any perceived frame drops are causing me any harm.

I'm only really seeing it in the first few seconds after a cut to a fielding camera, not during pitcher/batter interactions. I noticed this in the very first game I played, in Globe Life as the opener to my March to October game. I've noticed it less by switching into my usual "Medium" fielding camera which doesn't have quite the large field of vision that, say, the dynamic cam does. I think that helps the framerate stay more stable.

Also I did rebuild the database since last night, but I can't say for sure whether it had any effect.

I’m having the same issue with framerate even at 720p...
