Re: MLB The Show 19 Reporting Bugs

Just got the game a few days ago. I've noticed a few times that when I have a runner on 1st base and the cpu pitcher throws over. It doesn't let me get back to the bag even when spamming R1. I am just picked off without any effort on returning to 1st base.

I'm not even taking any extra leads. Just the default amount given.

When fielding a ball with my first baseman and I hit the button to just auto run to the base, he has three times now jogged towards the dugout not even touching the base.

This has been in the game for many years now, it happens when you have auto fielding on but not auto throws. Sadly don't see it being fixed soon.

I know the challenge/replay system is super basic and pretty broken in general, considering plays at 1st base are pretty much the only calls that can be challenged.

But I've noticed a bug involving the working system they do have. Calls that should and normally will bring up the option to challenge (even egregiously wrong calls) will not let you challenge if the call is an out call that also ends the inning.

So if you clearly beat a throw to first that normally lets you challenge it if you are called out, will just jump to the cutscene if the wrong call ends that half of the frame.

Have been pressing O exclusively on grounders to first and I would say on twenty plays he covered the bag, until just now. These are the types of bugs that they need to fix before adding stuff to this game. This is not something that can be tweaked with a slider. After all these years THIS should not be in the game.

Ladder training is still broken in RTTS with the latest patch, even though it is in the patch notes.

Rain Delays in franchise...My pitcher will not warm up despite me selecting a new one to warm up. When I go into the start of the inning he is still 100% cold.

My Diamond Dynasty team info/logos/uniforms constantly change on me for no reason. I log in and they are fine, then I play a moment, or a couple conquest games, then the colors of the screen change, my logo is different in the bottom right hand side of the main menu, and then I have to go back in and redo my team info/colors which then make me have to redo my uniforms... I just want to play the game for more than a few hours and have the uniforms stay the same... not have to redo them. This has made me not want to spend time playing DD, which is what I spent over 85% of my time on last year.

Pop of the glove sound occurring before ball actually hits the catchers glove (it repeats when the ball does hit, when the sound should occur)

Only when I’m pitching, and only late in the game..don’t think I’ve ever experienced it before the 5th...

The sound is usually during my windup or as I’m releasing the ball...really distracting

                    Anyone else have this?

What’s going on with so many mlb players missing their actual photos, example since I have both Yoenis cespedes, & Todd Frazier on the Mets active roster, their photos are missing and replaced w their cyber faces. That’s never happened in past games, even when they’re called up from the minors.

Re: MLB The Show 19 Reporting Bugs

I'm in my second season with the Dodgers. Last night night I finished a quick pitch simulation of a game. The next day was an off day. I believe the date, which appears to be important, is June 21 2020.

So, I finish that game, and hit "advance day" to get to the off day. I then hit "advance day" to get to the next game, but nothing happens. I hit it again, nothing. I then went into a menu (I think it was league leaders the first time) and the game froze completely. Since I save constantly, I had already saved the game I played the day before and figured I'd just re-sim the game I did played. I shutdown the game, restart, reload, sim the game, and same thing. I restart, and sime a third time, but instead of trying to "advance day" I instead went into the calendar and tried to simulate there. As soon as the attempts to pass the off day I get the same result. I went a step further and loaded an older save file from a day or so before, and attempted to "sim to all-star break" and as soon as the game reaches that same off day everything just stops, and soon freezes.

I'm fairly worried I'm about to lose a lot of work I've put into this and it would probably kill the game for me. Anybody ever see anything like this?

Well, this is interesting. It seems the first baseman will jog right past the bag even using the L stick. First baseman was near the line, juggled the ball, and I used the L stick and he just ran right past the bag all the way to the stands behind the catcher. Just wondering I’d there is a particular spot on the field that triggers this? Doesn’t appear to be a problem with just the O button.

                            Hi I'm having startup issues.

I get to the screen with Harper where it says "press Option" and it takes me to a blurry picture of the stadium and l can still change the song. Beyond that, nothing is happening. What do I have to do to play my game???!!!

This seems to happen in very scenarios from what I can tell.

If the 1B is close enough to the bag he will already take it to the bag himself without you needing to press O or the L Stick to move him.

What I believe causes the 1B to overrun the 1B bag is when the user presses O or L Stick at the same time the 1B is automatically going to the bag. These competing, lets call them commands, seem to cause the issue.

I have gotten good at judging when the 1B will go to the bag on his own and have stopped pressing the button. In the scenario where is not close enough he will stop and not take a step and at that point it seems like there is no issue in pressing a button.

This is my theory and so far seems to play out as I mentioned. Once you get the hang of it easy to tell when this bug will or will not trigger.

                              Still needs to be fixed.
