I have several other screenshots that I will upload later. Any explanation for it? I strike out when it should at least be a foul tip.

The Invisible Bat
This issue seems to be worse than ever. Playing on HOF batting difficulty, this happened several times in the same game.

Re: The Invisible Bat
Its a graphical glitch when you go into replay mode. The ball isn’t actually going through the bat in real time, it may just feel that way.

Re: The Invisible Bat
This is actually pretty realistic as long as it’s with Chris Davis

Re: The Invisible Bat
This has never bothered me in the slightest. I’ve always just looked at is as the gaming representation of “he swung right though it.”

I don’t actually care about any of this.Comment

Re: The Invisible Bat
Seeing where your PCI was placed would have been more informative. And if you were using directional, having good timing and just plain whiffing sometimes is part of using that hitting mode (because the CPU is essentially controlling your PCI).Comment

Re: The Invisible Bat
A few more examples below. It certainly feels as if the ball goes through the bat when I’m swinging. Enough for me to think that I should have at least foul tipped it so I go check the replay.
For reference, I’m batting with pure analog stride on HOF, using Armor’s sliders.

Re: The Invisible Bat
Yeah it’s a video game, I’ve seen lots of things go through others in various games. I don’t waste my time going into reply to watch ball go through the bat. It’s a strike, deal with it. You don’t complain when a ball is outside the zone and the game calls it a strike or vice versa. It’s a game. Takes a lot of programming to make it perfect. Just don’t go to replay and take it as a you got beat.
If it does that IRL then yes start worrying

Re: The Invisible Bat
I get that things aren't perfect, and I know this has been around for years. I guess I feel that it's worse than year's past; and also more noticeable in a baseball game, comparable to other sports game. Since the primary objective of baseball is to put bat on ball.
It's frustrating when I feel I should have gotten a piece, even if I may have been beat, but still made some contact to protect the plate, and go into replay to confirm that I actually did (through the bat).
They speak about true physics on batted balls; a back of the box feature, per say. This isn't it. I wonder if sliders could fix this? As in Armor's sliders, I do have Human Foul Frequency and Human Solid Hits at 4 a piece.PS4 | jamiedallaireComment

Re: The Invisible Bat
So I finally found last year's thread which briefly touched on this and its history before the thread got off kilter.
Not sure why this year would be any different than what folks have seen in the past or if it couldn't be fixed with sliders why it would so this year, but give it a try.Comment

Re: The Invisible Bat
you'll notice all manner of wonky stuff on replays if you look hard enough. I've seen pitchers sitting in the bullpen with their arms going through the backrest of the bench. You'll go crazy if you sweat the small stuff. If you look at a lot more replays you'll notice this isnt happening too much IMOOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: The Invisible Bat
Its literally just a replay bug. Been in the game for years. You may be overthinking this one.
