Anyone made Ohtani a reliever in their franchise?

now this is just my opinion but he's too good in the Show to be a reliever, he's far more valuable as a starter. now if he was a Tampa Ray, he could come in and relieve in the 2nd inning and that would work

He has no value as a starter because this broken feature has ruined him. He never has any stamina and pitches 2-3 innings and gets rocked.

Edit: for clarification, I do not play with LA in my franchise. This is sim results

I only hesitate to make him a reliever because I assume the code to make him DH is tied to being in the rotation

edit his stamina to 99. He'll pitch over 150 innings. He migh still get rocked but IMO its because his BB/9 & HR/9 arent all that great. we still dont know how good a pitcher he is IRl with roughly 50 mlb innings to his credit

I almost respect how you defend this feature. It doesn’t work for the one player it was implemented for regardless of how you spin it

not defending it. but when something is broken you can wait and hope Sony fixes the problem or you can see if there is something more immediate that can be done. You say he doesn't pitch enough innings, you can adjust his stamina to 99 and he'll pitch 150+ innings. You say he also gets rocked.
Adjust his bb/9 and k/9,
that will fix that. or dont
