NO HOMERUNS NO POWER
Why is it almost impossible to hit homeruns in this years game. Ive played maybe 25-30 games and have maybe 7 home runs with the yankees. Getting good timing squaring up pitches just to lazily flyout to shallow outfield. Using default sliders with power at 6 and STILL there is no semblance of power whatsoeverTags: None -
Re: NO HOMERUNS NO POWER
the slider goes higher than 6 . it might not go to 11 but it will go past 6 . or ... try it on Dynamic Difficulty for 15-20 games , then report back
Are homers rarer on higher levels ? yes & they should beOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: NO HOMERUNS NO POWER
I've hit 51 in 34 games. I'm currently 8th in the majors in homeruns hit.

Re: NO HOMERUNS NO POWER
I have it set to 6 on my HoF zone hitting slider set, and I am third in homeruns with my Yankees Franchise. So it's very possible to hit a reasonable amount of homeruns.Comment

Re: NO HOMERUNS NO POWER
dynamic difficulty will shift you between levels of difficulty until you settle into your sweet spot and over time if your skill set gets better it will bump you up again . its the only way I can play w/out becoming the ‘27 Yankees or last years Orioles all the time
exactly . sliders combined with desired difficulty level will give you the experience you enjoy most , even if it just happens to be the default slider setting . I prefer human power to be set to 3 for me & 7 for the CPU . doesnt make it right for everybody but it does make it damn near perfect for meOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: NO HOMERUNS NO POWER
Curious what have you tweaked in sliders on hof for zone? Are they all at 5 for default? Also, do you touch pitch speed at all? Thanks.

Re: NO HOMERUNS NO POWER
I suck, but I'm hitting a realistic number of HRs. You just have to mess around with your sliders and game play level until you are happy with it.Comment

Re: NO HOMERUNS NO POWER
You have 51 homers in 34 games? You'll hit like 240 by the end of the season. That's like some kind of record...sure you're not juicin'? When someone else starts a new thread on this very topic (one will likely start in 3 days) give us an update. You'd think teams would start walking you.

Re: NO HOMERUNS NO POWER
Yeah but I thought that since CB plays the game 22 hrs a day that he'd be able to get one guy on the Cards to hit over 200 HR in a season. Then again the dynamic difficulty may kick in and that guy would end up with 300 Ks on the year (all or none, nothing in between). A supersized video Dave Kingman if you will.Comment

I don't have my slider set in front of me. But When I do I will post it. I know I have both pitch speeds up to 6.Comment

Re: NO HOMERUNS NO POWER
Having read thru many threads I’ve come to the conclusion this game is pretty great and offers every option to make it work. There are gamers a who, admittedly suck, and gamers who are so good that even LEGEND is not challenging enough. For those two groups the game might never give them the challenge, or lack, that they are looking for, but it’s not the game.
It would be nice if everyone could remember to post the level they are playing on for both them and the CPU, plus the sliders. Pretty much useless to try to give help when you don’t know where the gamer is in that regard. I think we might be shocked.Comment
