Re: This is garbage. Second year in a row.

If they invest time and resources into managing/maintaining existing modes, then people cry bloody murder that next year's game is just a roster update. If they invest time and resources into creating newer and deeper features, then people cry bloody murder that they're not taking care of existing modes. It's a battle video game companies can't win.

I only know them from the Twitch streams, but I would guarantee you.....no one at SDS is lazily sitting with their feet up saying - "you know what'll really rile 'em up.....let's put lefties at short and catchers in right! It's lunch....let's take the rest of the day off and go to the beach!"

I don't object to one's right to be disappointed....or to speak out about it.....or to decide to never purchase the game ever again. But I do object to characterizing people as "lazy" and "sloppy"....and their product as "garbage."

Never said they did it on purpose. But this is two years in a row. It's laziness. If it's not DD it's not a major priority. Just like franchise. Back on topic.

It's not just a minor thing. If they fixed it I wouldn't care. But I have my sincere doubts. Because they never fixed it last year.

It was being updated last year and then they just stopped doing it. Cold Turkey. So whatever the issue is it needs to be fixed.

Otherwise just scrap Live rosters. What's the point?

I'm irritated because this is the same thing as last year. I love SDS but I'm tired of this kind of stuff.

Diamond Dynasty is updated all the damn time. But the live rosters are messed up. That's inexcusable. It's just not a high priority for them. I guarantee you if online players started seeing that on DD. They'd correct it immediately.

Yeah, SDS only really cares about Diamond Dynasty because it's their money maker. It's just like EA with Madden. Microtransactions rule the world of gaming now, and if you're playing something that doesn't involve that, I'd say prepare to be disappointed at the lack of development.

Non-DD players, like myself, should be thankful for DD because it helps fund the game. If DD went away, The Show could too.

That's the worst logic. If the game doesn't provide what I want as a consumer, they are dead to me anyway.

This is a really weird hill to die on, bro. It's obvious laziness. You can argue the sky isn't blue, we'll all just respectfully disagree with you.

the problem is the good people at SDS are spread too thin. they got their hand in this. they got their hand in that. they got their other hand in another, new thing. problem is they dont have three hands. IMO what they do need is a change at the very top, to bring focus to the Show and tighten the screws a bit. right now the game tries to cater to everybody and this team just isnt large enough to do that. its still a mostly solid game but there are still holes that need filled, but no free hand to fix it.

its only bad logic if every consumer feels the same as you , AND doesnt make a purchase

So let me be clear. As I've calmed down some . The gameplay is tremendous among some other things. Im not trying to make this a SDS bash fest.

But I stand by what I said. I'm always gonna love this game but, this is inexcusable. That's it.

would I ever leave the Show? look, I'm all about loyalty. but if there were somewhere else that valued loyalty more highly ... I'm going wherever they value loyalty the most. - Caulfield K. Schrute

The bottom line is, as long as its the best console baseball game going, thats where I'll gravitate. I admit I defend this game a ton, but in reality, I'll only do it if it deserves defending. And on topic, I'm mostly a franchise/season user, so live rosters dont personally appeal to me. but if Sony is going to put them in, it probably should work correctly. anything worth doing is worth doing right

Well they fixed the position glitch. Everything looks good.

Pitchers stats are still messed up. But I suppose I can live with that. At least Gary isnt in RF anymore[emoji1787]

There's no way someone puts this starting lineup and statistical data in manually before every game, every day - there's an automated process that pulls in all the data, and THAT'S where the problem lies. Although I don't think constantly having such big errors in the lineups in a mode that can be accessed straight from the main menu is a very good look, it's pretty clear that finding some way to correct this is a low priority for the devs.
It doesn't matter that the process is automated though. Somebody associated with the game created or otherwise approved that automated process, and even then, they either are not using a human for quality control prior to making the rosters live, or that person is doing a poor job of quality control. The process being automated isn't an excuse. It can still be sloppy and, as we've seen, is.
