I'm sorry to hear that man. I to do not like the new patch, but I am not striking out at all. My problem is the hit variety is terrible. Your problem would be fixable if you were playing offline with sliders, but unfortunately since you are online DD your kind of stuck.

The funny thing is they released this patch because of all of the complaints over at the show nation, and 90% of them are saying this patch has made the game exponentially worse. I guess you don't know what you got til it's gone.

Reminds me of Madden 19. MUT/Competitive gamers complained, they listened, patched, they complained it made the game worse, they patched again, made it worse, etc.

I really wish developers would just go with their instinct and stick with the game they built. This listening then patching approach never works. Fix the bugs by all means but constant tuning is a terrible strategy.

Disclaimer, I don't play MLB 19, I'm just talking generally about the overall approach that devs are taking.

My personal opinion it feels very different. Everything off of the bat just feels "floaty" and has no drive behind it. Even on the homeruns that I am breaking 100 mph exit velo on just feel lifeless. Before the patch when I got a hold of one I could really feel the weight off the bat. The ball is just staying in the air way too long in my opinion after this patch.

On a side note I am hitting way more home runs after this patch, averaging about 2-3 a game now as opposed to 1-2 (about 9 game sample size).

I think the main reason why I am against this patch is that I really like how the game felt at release. Now I just feel like their is no umph behind hits even when the data is telling me there is umph. Oh well to each their own I guess. Glad you guys all think it's better.

A few years ago the Mets and Nationals struck out a combined 35 times in 9 innings. I can only imagine the posts on this forum if that happened in The Show!

I’m with ya, the changes are minimal feeling to me as well, it’s weird how some people can say it’s ruined and some people barely notice the change......guess that’s how it goes in the video game realm

Best example of “It’s just in their head”. They read what changed and thinks they made it way worse than it really is.

I never take anything for granted until I play and if it goes well, awesome, if noticeable.. well crap.

I think that people spend way too much time over analyzing everything. Catch a hot streak? The patch made the game too easy! Cant catch a break? The patch broke the game despite the last patch breaking the game too!

While I don't think it completely fixed the frame rate issues, it definitely seems to help. I ran thru the Mothers Day Conquest map and it is the first time this year that I could hit the ball where it was pitched. I could recognize the pitches and I have been hitting a lot better. Pitching meter was still getting janky, but, seems like a win over all for me so far.

I think balls feeling floaty, airy, or lifeless off the bat is actually more realistic and sim than anyone will realize or care to admit.

If you’ve ever stepped in the box against guys that barely even have minor league stuff, you know how hard it is to consistently make the ball jump off your bat on contact regularly. It’s what separates certain hitters that have the crack when they make contact.

In reality when you swing and hit most baseballs, they tend to be lazy and lifeless floaters if you didn’t square up or time your swing perfectly.

This newer patch said it has a higher line drive success rate. I think the one two days before was suppose to have more floaters, less contact.

I have no idea what’s going on!
