oh no doubt. great game but its not great enough to make me quit my job or leave my wife . it is damn good enough to let me tune out "do the dishes" or "fix the toilet" lol

oh how many times have I been in the doghouse for ''skipping dinner'' to play a few more innings. It's acceptable to miss a wedding because of the Show as long as you have a better ''official'' reason but I would never bail on a funeral for the Show. I mean, a man should have some common decency. unless its your own funeral. Its okay to miss your own funeral for the Show

Definitely a 10. Smoother frame rate,and with solid contact on 4 it plays great. I'm hooked after taking a hiatus from baseball games for a few years.

10 so much variety. One game I win 10-6 next game I go up against Jose Berrios and get beat 1-0 with 1 hit

I would say a 9 before the patch and a 9 after.

As a whole, there are 1-2 things that could be improved in the game that kind of grind at me a little. But I am not going to get into those.

Overall, this version of the show is the best I have ever played. I love the fact that with franchise mode in any game we can make that game our own and this game excels at that.

As far as post patch goes, I had to make a tweak or two to my sliders but that is normal. I have had variety since release and the patch continued that.

If I could rate it lower than a 0 I would. It's all good contact fly out ground outs yet very late jam shots are singles and early swings are doubles in the gap. Every game someone scores on at least one or two BS plays (easy drop, player stands still, does animation against the wall which they said they patched years ago). They have made it to where no skill is needed and its whatever the computer wants. There is no control you are watching a movie and you choose the button to press. If I have to watch another game where I swing on 97 percent good contacts against a 67 overall pitcher and watch them ground out again I'm going to lose it.

This game needs another patch and fast.

at the very lowest, I could see it being a 4, maybe, maybe a 3, but no way a zero.another way of thinking of it in a 0-10 scale is a monetary fashion:

Exactly right. I can’t speak for online gameplay as I do not venture online after many many many attempts at playing online. It simply is a different game offline. I love how it plays “offline”. Onine sports gaming to me is a vast wasteland of frustration, cheating, cheese, excuses, lag, exploits.

Pure garbage. And unfortunately it has infested and manifested itself into a giant rage party and altered the course of offline sports gaming.

We are dinosaurs gentlemen, so we need to keep the flame alive for offline franchise gaming as long as we can and enjoy what we have and make the best of it.

At least that is what I do. I am having more fun now with offline franchise/sports gaming then I ever had in the so called glory years of the PS2. Why? Because the games are so much better now. For better or for worse in terms of modes....it is simply amazing the gameplay and realisim we have now!

a 3 I ll give, is the same game last year with a few improvements a roster update if i could i will get my money back and play 18 version, MLB the show right now has the worse improvements in all sports games even the new Madden coming is gonna be better , and ea is an awful company

I am having more fun now with offline franchise/sports gaming then I ever had in the so called glory years of the PS2. Why? Because the games are so much better now. For better or for worse in terms of modes....it is simply amazing the gameplay and realisim we have now!

Agreed. The sports games for this generation of consoles has hit their stride and I am enjoying most of them more than I ever thought I would. I would say that the only sport that was better represented last gen was golf.

I give the game as a whole a 7.5 - 8. The game loses major points with me on its mode direction. They are definitely alienating groups of players out there. If I was just evaluating gameplay it would be a solid 9. The game feels good on the field. I do still shake my head at some of the legacy issues the game still has.
