Still a good idea to manage cpu team bull pen usage.
Also, reduce LRP slot stamina pitchers to have stamina no higher than 30, 35, or 40.I will try this when I get home. If this fixes it, then I will be thrilled. Thanks for the tip!!

Irish bud, have you tried this set up? Curious to hear if fixes things.Milwaukee Brewers | Green Bay Packers | North Carolina Tar Heels | Wisconsin BadgersComment

It did not fix anything that I could notice with the two games I played with that set up.

Yeah it is super frustrating. I only rented the game so for me this was enough to return it with no thought of actually purchasing it now.

Re: AI Bullpen usage logic is the worst
Wouldn't it be nice if they would make it where fatigue would be the priority in choosing a reliever rather than how it is now. Say if the pitcher is 50% fatigued (or whatever number), he sits out unless completely necessary.Comment

LillyOfTheValley, can you post what you're seeing with the bullpen set up you described?Milwaukee Brewers | Green Bay Packers | North Carolina Tar Heels | Wisconsin BadgersComment

Re: AI Bullpen usage logic is the worst
The CPU will use the best pitcher available depending if they're significantly better than the rest and other times when that reliever isn't significant it'll use left handed relievers vs left handed hitters or and even matchup a right handed pitcher against a right handed hitter for a single out in an inning.
It's actually amazing to see how much they fixed bullpen logic if properly configured but messed up the setup man logic.Comment

Re: AI Bullpen usage logic is the worst
Um.. did you even see Max Scherzer's 120+ pitch game the other day? Dude was red-lined and confident af.I don't think the tired factor really has as much impact as it should and the confidence factor is really overpowered. I've seen pitchers who are completely tired go 3 innings more without any problems. Confidence was way up though. IMO, I don't care how confident you are, once a person is exhausted, they don't perform as well.

Re: AI Bullpen usage logic is the worst
Some pitchers are quite capable of going more than 100 pitches. It really should not be a one size fits all thing.
I never understood the thinking. If a pitcher goes over 100 innings, he should be watched closer next time up, but if he throws less than 100 the difference isn't added to the next start. The entire 100 pitch thing is ridiculous.
It was created by Tony LaRussa when he managed the A's and had 1 pitcher that always ran into a brick wall once he hit 100 pitches. Suddenly, every pitcher in MLB had a 100 pitch limit thrown on them.Last edited by JHodges57; 06-07-2019, 09:34 AM.Comment
