I honestly haven’t read up on this like I should. I run 30-team control and I’m curious, how does it show up exactly and how can it be fixed using 30-Team control?

Not sure, either, because the ONLY team in Franchise I have seen it with, is the Angels. And I also run 30 team control, and set EVERY team's lineup, and rotation, and leave the rest to the CPU.

In the Angel's lineup, I have Albert Pujols set as the DH against both right handers and left handers. But, when I play against the Angels (I use the Tigers) Ohtani is in the lineup as the DH, and not Pujols.

I think the only work around, is manually going into the Angels games, starting them like you would a normal game, set the lineups, then once you are in game, sim it to the end......

I don’t give a rats patootie about 2 way players either but it’s impossible for me to not have empathy for the utter frustration someone could have if it matters to them.

They said it was coming in patch 11 and it clearly couldn’t happen. The solution of them just taking it out probably won’t happen either. What I’m guessing will happen is just less transparency from SDS on what they are working on from now on, which is unfortunate.

"Yes, we are looking into that issue. As mentioned on the stream, we don't have a timetable for when this is going to come out, but we're working on getting it out as soon as possible."

"Yes, we are looking into that issue. As mentioned on the stream, we don't have a timetable for when this is going to come out, but we're working on getting it out as soon as possible."

It’s good they’re aware of the issue, hopefully it’s fixable (I imagine it is). Unless it becomes like interleague schedules never rotating, an issue that has never been fixed!

Unfortunately, the lack of transparency started a couple of years ago. And I have said a big part of that has been some of the attacks on (not criticisms of) SDS in particular. That said, I understand the frustration on both sides of this one, although I have not seen the 2 way player bug and I am not even sure what it is. IMO, SDS should fix bullpen logic (which is way more important to the game of baseball) before worrying about 2 way players or full implementation of the video review system.

As much as I have and want to have a carryover franchise the game seems to continue coming up with reasons why this is problematic and bordering on infuriating.

It seems like just picking one team and playing a single season with each release may be the best way to go.

I have played with two carry overs. One 30 team and the other single team. Both with no issues.

30 team I carried over in the off season (started this on 17 and now in year 3) and the single team I carried over in July of year 3 (started it on 16 fantasy draft Cardinals).

Go figure.

What are they supposed to say?

They mentioned in a stream that they were looking into it for 1.11. When the fix wasn’t included people grabbed the pitch forks.

Why should they back themselves into a corner when there is no guarantee that it can be fixed?

The best thing anyone can take is that they are still working on it and trying to fix. Does it suck it still exists? Yes, but at least there is still hope that it can be fixed

I would agree. Especially considering the ONLY team I have seen it happen with (a pitcher in the DH spot) is the Angels, and ONLY with Ohtani....

I carried over a save from 18 and I sim quite a bit of games. I have a custom all time greats roster and my first playoff game against the twins, they had Walter Johnson at dh instead of Harmon killabrew who was the best hitter on bench and a legend at that. I do have cpu roster on and 30 team control. Easy fix is once you start the game, switch teams and sub him out and switch back. At least I can fix it on my own to satisfy my franchise.

The lack of communication on this DH bug is frustrating. No question. I do believe it will still be fixed.

But how can anyone be surprised that offline franchise players are on the lowest priority? Come on guys. I won't let that get me worked up into a fit of rage or get me so pissed off.

I am probably hexing myself but in all my franchises it has not shown up. Crazy. And I think that is what is delaying the fix. Finding and zeroing in on the exact cause. That is why I just want them to delete the code that allows two way players.

It is for one freaking player!!!!! And all the crying about being able to use Ohtani as a two way player by members on this board has led to this ugly bug.

All for one freaking player.

The part that doesn't make sense to me is that there needs to be code to allow for two way players. I would think it would be easier to simply let any player in the game play any position rather than restricting.

And it's more than just Ohtani. He's just the only one since Ruth that's been any good at it.
