    Difficulty level help

I currently play on Legend default for both pitching and hitting. And to be blunt, I suck. I average about 5-6 hits a game, 1-2 runs and I strikeout 12-15 times on offense. Pitching I give up between 4-6 runs and strikeout 4-5 a game. Playing as the Rays fwiw.

What are the differences between Legend, HOF and All Star. I want a challenge and realism. I’m not looking to go 130-32 but want to have a chance to strike out 10 with my ace occasionally and plate a few runs. In 21 games on Legend, I was 3-18, no one hitting over .200, 3 total homeruns etc.

So what’s the difference, without sacrificing some realism.

Classic pitching and Zone hitting too with all default (I don’t mess with sliders).

    Difficulty level help

Legend is no joke. I know you want to challenge yourself but Hall of Fame is plenty challenging.

I know you’re hesitant to change spiders. I was at first as well. But they are there for a reason and we are basically encouraged to tinker with them.

1: Turn your timing slider up 1 and the CPU's timing slider down 1 and play 10 games and see if the difference is enough to make you feel comfortable.

2: leave the sliders as is and play on HOF difficulty.

I personally am playing on HOF classic / directional with Armor's sliders with all pitchers stamina at 6 and with max pitch speeds and I'm having a blast. It's just the right amount of difficulty for me without being too hard. If either of the two options I listed don't suite you, give what I'm doing a go, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

The biggest differences in the 3 are:

        * The size of the PCI when hitting

        * The timing window for hitting

        * How quickly the AI/CPU adapts to patterns, ie...pitching same sequence repeatedly

        * The accuracy mark when pitching becomes a bit more difficult to hit (sorry not sure how this applies to CLASSIC)

There isn't boost or anything of the sort, just the AI becomes "smarter" and your margin for error as a user diminishes as the difficulty increases.

In your situation I would recommend dropping down to HOF default and playing a month's worth of games and seeing the results. I don't think you'll find yourself becoming extremely dominant or anything of the sort.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Yeah, as someone who started off this year playing on Legend, after dropping down to HOF, it's easier but that doesn't mean it's easy in general. HOF is still plenty challenging without being over barring.

Does the CPU go in the zone more? I don’t want to lose the ability to draw walks by moving to HOF

They throw plenty of balls on HOF.
