Wondering if there were any fixes with cpu baserunning proper aggressiveness

I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall at the dev meeting when they decided adding a new cleat was worth their time this late in the games cycle.

They could of made a small cosmetic update to a stadium like adding the Nationals 2017 NL East banner in right field, or the Brewers 2018 NL Central pennant in left field, or removed the tarps in the third deck of the A’s stadium since they were removed IRL after the 2016 season.

Or... could have fixed at least one of the numerous graphical, text and audio errors. You have to remember that these are the same guys couldn't even spell Cincinnati correctly when the game first came out. I mean there's only been 22 patches, so there's still hope.

Anyone noticing after the patch in franchise games the scores from around the league bar appears but it doesn't show anything, no teams or scores

Seems to work for me. There is a bug sometimes though were the black or silver bar at the bottom , depending on the theme, will be transparent and the info will be out of line but if you pause the game or go to the bullpen it will fix itself.


Edit: the bug also happened before this patch

Since this patch my Nationals franchise is completely buggered up. Using default rosters and 3 months in. All of my player portraits are screwed. Rendon has Soto's pic, Soto has Zimmermans, Eaton has Turners, Gomes has Robles.

This is the default roster in a franchise that i have been playing since launch. Sorry but this is ridiculous. Minor yes, but still ridiculous.


edit: after quitting, reloading and scrolling thru the roster it apparently fixed itself?

edit #2: I personally think its really tacky that they added all of their social media links to the opening screen. Again not a big deal just don't like it and for me it blatantly shows the direction this game will go in the future.

edit #3: Where are these new cleats supposed to be? I can't find them anywhere.

Yeah it's typical. Everytime Ramon likes an Elizabeth Warren or AOC post on Twitter unironically it makes me reconsider my purchase next year.

And I'm sorry but I don't understand the correlation between them sharing their social media pages and the direction the game is going. They have for a few years now, promoted and showed everything about the game through social media, including developer streams prior to the game releasing and as they release content and patches/updates during the season.

Its the path they have chosen to release information/updates about their game.

I don't know if they are in RTTS or DD as I was in my franchise and just jumped to the edit player screen to see if they were there.

Social media is how they choose to market their game, instead of using forums such as OS or print. It's the new age these days to promote your product to a mass of people. I work for an electronic distributor that has been around for nearly 100 years and guess what, we market on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other social media outlets. Its free marketing that reaches a high volume of people. Companies are using it as they would radio advertising years ago.

And how are they catering to the Twitch and Youtube crowd??? The game offline is as good of a sim as your going to find in sports games. I don't play online so I can't speak to that aspect. So how is the offline game degrading? Are you speaking about franchise mode? If so, the mode isn't being purposely neglected, as had been stated numerous times. Franchise mode is in a position on the PS4, where there isn't much else they can do until they reach new hardware. I've talked to the devs about this myself. They know what is wanted, they want to add what is wanted, but until we advance to the new console generation (2020), franchise mode isn't going to get the back of the box features that the community is anxiously waiting for.

I know....I know...I'm a SDS/Show fanboy who finds no fault. Whatever...but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you are incorrect in thinking that '19 will be the last great MLB The Show game released. I don't expect much change in terms of franchise mode next year other than under the hood changes in terms of logic and such, but I do believe that the community is going to be in for a surprise, a pleasant surprise, when we reach the first release of MLB The Show on the new generation of consoles.

Maybe I'm wrong and you're correct, but given their track record, for me personally with '17 being the only game I didn't really enjoy out of the box, I like the odds that I'm going to be right in my thinking.
