Absolutely will and he should be fired now. Red Sox ownership has no reason to wait with how he is implicated in yesterdays report. This from a Red Sox fan too......

Hopefully they can get these managers out of the game in time for the release in March

Alex Cora should be punished too. And speaking of cheating, what about the Patriots of the NFL, albeit this is a baseball-related board. Deflate-gate, as well as other gates through the years. Yet, their coach, Bill Belichick, the GM and even the owner got away with murder. Cheating along with other forms of wrongdoings are the reflection of today's society. The human race at his worst. What a shame. Thank God there is no cheating in MLB the Show. Mind you, some gamers insist there is some kind of a code that initiates late comebacks at times! LOL

        Re: Astros Punishment

Whether you are a fan or ***** of the Astros, Red Sox, Dodgers, or Yankees, I don't see how you can't objectively see how the Yankees and Dodgers were screwed in such a potentially significant way.

Both were knocked out by the Astros and Red Sox 2 straight years.

Yankees 2017 ALCS vs Houston, 2018 ALDS vs Boston... both teams went on to beat the Dodgers in the World Series.

So bad for the game! Who knows... I even admit there's no way to be sure the Astros and Red Sox wouldn't have won their titles anyway, but that's the thing... we don't know and never will. A huge stain on the game and these two World Series.

EDIT: didn't know that 5 letter H word was not allowed... so I'll say whether you are a fan or strong disliker of them.

I think this is happening in today's game more than we know. With the technology out it makes it easy for things like this to happen. Stealing signs has been going on forever and it won't stop. Obviously I dont condone what the Astros did and they deserve all the punishments they

Except they say....and I’m not saying I believe them...that the Red Sox did not do this sign stealing stuff in the playoffs because by then MLB had officers in the video rooms. Again do I believe them? No but it’s what they are saying.

Honestly the real problem is, just like the steroid era, the issue is MLB would not have done a thing about any of this if an uproar wasn’t started first. If everyone was “eh who cares” about the home run records do you think Sosa and McGuire would have been tarnished because of using steroids? Of course not. Just like now if the former players didn’t say anything would MLB have done anything if they learned about it just by themselves? I really doubt it.

I agree with you and I live in MA. I’m a Vikings fan (no rubbing it in please lol). The arrogance from that franchise from the top down to the fans is hard to be surrounded by day in and day out.

I think if I ran an Astros season in 20 (& I wont, I'd rather eat a termite sandwich) but if I did, in the draft I'd pick the worst rated prospect in lieu of leaving it to the Show to take Houston's picks away. same for Boston (yeah, it's coming Cora) but I wont be doing a BoSox franny either. I'd sooner use that same termite sandwich as TP.

For all we know, they will just have fake managers for Houston and Boston respectively. I'm sure SDS is already at work on replacing them

This is just like spy gate again with the patriots.. if Houston go on to win a few more world series in the next decade we can see the entire world hating them like the pats get.

as for the game now Cora gone too. I am sure they have plenty of time it's only Jan to remove both managers and replace them.

While I'm glad there was consequences for the management, I'm livid with the notion that the players (directly or indirectly) cheated and aren't going to be punished.
In my meager opinion, all of them should receive 1 year bans too. Dont care if they have moved on to different teams. Appalling that they get off "scott free".

What I find humorous is that if a player is at second and the catcher is too stupid to change up the signs, they all puff out their chests and get ready to brawl if they think the opposing player is stealing signs you're not adequately protecting; but using technology didn't seem to be problematic for some of those same players.

I dont care about any other Asstros but I am disappointed in Brian McCann. I find it hard to believe Mike Fiers and other Houston pitchers knew this was going on but McCann didn't.

I run a ROSTER CONTROL ON, 30 team franchise, and have gone thru the entire 2019 off season. I've saved the franchise a couple days shy of spring training so that I can download it from CLOUD and get the new schedule when 2020 comes out. To start, all the players on the Astros 2017 squad are gone and replaced with minor leaguers. Don't know how long I'll keep them off the MB roster, but it's a start.

Hinch gone as well as one other coach and Cora too. The power vested in video gamers is amazing, lol.

I’m somewhat interested in what kind of reception these teams will receive from fans at visiting stadiums, as well as their own fans. It’s certainly going to be an interesting season in baseball in 2020.
