Yep, very cool indeed! I thought I recognized my Stephens in those photo uploads the past few days.

I saw ridins tweet. So are these actually FULL minor league rosters? I don’t expect low A, high A or anything like that but is there a full AAA, AA, and single A squad for each team out of the box?

Real minor leaguers confirmed by SDS. I had a feeling it was ridin that had a part in this process probably why the players look good.
I had a sneaky suspicion that Ridin may have had something to do with this, but showtyme threw me off off the trail lol
Now that this has been announced I wonder if there are any additions to franchise outside of the rebranding feature....Last edited by Therebelyell626; 02-12-2020, 11:43 AM.Comment

So essentially they've endorsed the OSFM rosters and got permission to do so? Pretty cool I guess, as it means not having to wait for them to drop. Very cool for the creators, who have finally gotten the recognition they deserve and presumably access to some better editing methods now they are hooked up with SDS.
Hope SDS don't link their attributes to DD though, so they have ratings so low that they will never get to the majors in franchise. The DD ratings system and franchise/RTTS really don't go together, ideally they rate the players separately for the different modes, but I doubt they will.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 20: Confirmation That Real Minor Leaguers are Coming?
Good point OScar. This always bothered me that players were rated on a DD scale. It took Alex Verdugo on average 3-4 to be major league quality in all of the franchises I ran, when really he should have been major league ready at the start of the year. This will be interesting to see
Then at the other end of the scale, all the less famous, newly promoted guys get stuck with horrendously low ratings that in franchise they can never recover from as the progression system isn't dynamic enough. It's no issue in DD as the lesser players are irrelevant pack fillers, who if they do well in real life they can just bump their ratings up by 30 points and it's fine, but in franchise players don't just magically jump up that amount.
It's annoying.Comment

Yeah it causes problems at both ends of the scale. DD intentionally lowers the ratings of the top live players, in order to leave room for flashbacks and legends to be better (and therefore more desirable, equalling more money). So franchise gets stuck with deliberately inaccurate ratings.

Re: MLB The Show 20: Confirmation That Real Minor Leaguers are Coming?
the BP management of the CPU has always been awful I think it would even be more awful with 13 pitchers..
ok so if we have 26 man rosters for MLB and AAA and AA I am going to take a stab here and say we will still have 90 man rosters. but 7 players will be A and just sit there wasted as spare slots. instead of the 10 we always have. I will be surprised if they extend it to 100 roster slots on the last year of the PS4.
I mean how would year to year saves work if this was the case? it would just generic 10 fake players?Comment

Wow how about that they even give him a shout out.. having full minors out of the gate on the 13th..looking foward to starting the chise day 1 with full minors! im curious how exactly this was done? is there a minor league deal for the likeness?will they have player photos? will they have full name audio on these guys? thats important..dont want to hear now batting #13 for a real minor leaguer..so did they record name audios..? was this a seperate project that they worked on with the show and they all got paid?or did they just use the work of all of the people that were in on last seasons rosters and put it in the game with no likeness deals and no compensation...just curiousComment
