Any news on replay challenge system actually being upgraded? And or rainouts/dblehdrs

So i was curious since i have not seen any mention as of yet if the same outdated for years now replay challenge system has actually been upgraded yet...they used the excuse years ago we dont do it unless we can do it right...so we still dont have a system in place other than the same first base situation and homerun calls occasionally...they have to be able to add in some other challenges maybe on double plays...or home plate calls...or traps in the outfield...it cant be that hard to add...its been years now and replay is such a big part of the game...and of course rainouts with doubleheader make ups..i can still see the same answer that messing with the schedule and real life start times isnt a option..

Would be a pleasant surprise. It has become a big part of the game.

I'd bet these do not change until next gen.

Thing is, while this would bring authenticity, it also seems like its clearly a hassle to develop. Im not one to stick up for scea any chance i get but lets just say this should be at the bottom of priorities list IMO

Well id agree as far as the replay system goes but having rainouts with doubleheaders has a strategic effect on managing games/rosters the next day. im curious now that it is 26 man rosters do they still allow the extra man to be called up for a doubleheader anymore? that would be a 27th man for that day only. did they scrap the rule?

"In the case of doubleheaders, clubs are allowed to recall one additional player who is on the 40-man roster to serve as the 27th member of the active Major League roster only for the day of said doubleheader. That player accrues one day of MLB service time and is returned to the Minor Leagues following the completion of the doubleheader. Teams also are permitted to call up a 27th man on days when they are completing a previously suspended game and have another game scheduled after that, but the 27th man is only permitted to play in the regularly scheduled game that day, not the contest that was previously suspended."
