The way they've revealed and worded this stuff just seems weird to me. If true relocation is in the game, I feel like it would've been a big part of the trailer.

I want relocation as much as anybody. I spend a ton of hours on NBA 2K and OOTP designing teams every year. My expectations are getting pretty low for this though. Hoping for a surprise though.
    I have this same mentality.

I want to be wrong. But my gut tells me it is literally just changing the text and being able to change logos and uniforms, ala DD.

I have said before this is a base and it feels like they are trying to feel things out before we get to the PS5.

I want more. I hope we get more. But if we don't I don't want to be disappointed so I have set realistic expectations for myself.

I'm a traditional franchise fan. The rebranding does nothing for me. I'm never changing the Yankees or changing the City.

What will get me to commit to a preorder now is some logic changes. I want to hear they worked on salary and budget logic.

They put the new 26 man roster and 28 man September call ups in.

They changed trade deadline for playoff eligibility to July 31. I also need to hear they fixed the playoff eligibility which has been an issue for 7 years with injured players.

      Regression and retirement logic.....

Hit some of those, that are not back of box features, and I'm in.

Real minor league players and text changes for team names does not get me excited. I can edit players.

Enthusiastic about the Diamond Dynasty creation addition to franchise .
Looking forward to moving the Atlanta Braves back to Milwaukee I love the Braves uniforms they added this year.
Hope they add an option for a shoulder patch. I am going to have a lot of fun with this. Thank you much.2020-02-11%2018.42.53.jpeg

The franchise relocation is the tipping point for me, but I'd like to see it come with realignment (doubtful). I want to undo a wrong and put the Astros and Brewers back where they belong. And I want put a team back in Montreal - probably Tampa Bay, but I believe the Expos were National League, so I dont know. But, it could be my own little baseball world and at least the Expos would be back!

Excited for Thursday, but probably shouldnt get my hopes up.

Yes, I would like all of these things to. But I also am realistic. DD and RTTS are there money maker modes, and adding real prospects not only helps franchise but also works to improve their “money maker” modes.

I am actually super satisfied that they added real prospects because it is something they have never done before. Which means they are still trying to improve the offline experience, even if it is a big win for the DD crowd and RTTS crowd as well.

Best case scenario the rebranding comes with 3-5 generic stadiums to apply to your team. Otherwise your pretty much right. It’s a useless feature unfortunately

I get that, but under the current set up I can't, say, "relocate" the SF Giants to the Polo Grounds in NY as their default stadium with the dimensions influencing player stats and so on. I might be wrong, but there also isn't any team-specific branding with the current classic parks (apart from obvious ones like the Cardinal in Sportsman's Park) which would help for immersion.

We've all probably been on the live streams and experienced the near impossibility of getting a question answered in the chat because of the heavy traffic which overwhelms the devs.

My question for the upcoming stream is whether I can carry over my franchise from mlbts 19 to mlbts 20 and get none, some or all of the new features like franchise relocation and full minors.

If I have to start a new franchise then I'll stop playing my current carry over franchise and wait for the game to be released.

I wouldn't say it's a useless feature without relocation. It's still pretty cool to be able to rebrand/design uniforms and logos. I'm sure a lot of people, including myself, will have fun making throwback sets or creating their own modern designs for teams.

Full Relocation would obviously take this to the next level but I'm happy with being able to rebrand teams for now.

The rebrand will be nice for people that play with with historic, generated or fictional rosters.

When I was a kid I would probably create a league with local high schools and players.

Good points. I am just saying it will be useless for me because I am not good at designing things like this

So from what I understand you must play a full year in Franchise then in first off season is when you can rebrand or relocate...hoping not..

No, they showed (and said) that you can rebrand any number of MLB teams at league creation.
