Am I wrong? I thought this looked pretty good for the relocation fans, at least for the first wave of relocation. Looks like a ton of branding options.

Re: MLB The Show 20 Video - Franchise Mode Customization Suite
It is good. It is better than nothing. It's just that once it was confirmed, we already knew this was coming, and it is absolutely nothing more that we already expected. I am still happy about it. I expect it will be expanded on in the next few years.Comment

This article Ramone mentions new stadiums but the wording either means they want to add more or they have for this versions.
That doesn't always mean a graphical bump, Russell says. "We've reached visual maturity on PlayStation 4. It looks as good as we want it to look, so we've shifted our attention to other things. We've got brand new stadiums to put in the game, and they look gorgeous; we have brand new equipment to put in the game, things of that nature."
The Rangers new stadium is in the game. I wonder if he was talking about that.

Honestly, this and the minors has me excited for franchise. Obviously things like create a stadium and more in depth transactions would be awesome, but this is a great step.

Glad I lowered my expectations for this. No true relocation feature, just rebranding. Still excited to use it tbh.
Hoping we see Create a Stadium next year to make the feature feel more complete.Fan of:

Re: MLB The Show 20 Video - Franchise Mode Customization Suite
I'm OK with rebranding being the only BIG addition for this year that is worth marketing to the masses. Aside from FIFA (which is a different animal) MLB was the only sports game out there that didn't have at least some sort of rebranding and/or relocation option. It doesn't move the needle for me much personally, but it IS a big deal for many (and the creation suite is already quite robust).
That said....there are a TON of little things that they COULD do that would make the mode much better. They wouldn't advertise them or probably wouldn't even talk about them on-stream....but they could make our lives better.
A perfect example would be adding the correct minor league options to all players across the board. To 99% of the player base, that's a "who cares?" kind of thing. But I can practically hear a bunch of you drooling at that possibility....because we GET the depth it adds to roster planning and construction.
Combine that with a "full minors" roster and the annual gameplay improvements, and that's a lot of oomph for a one year cycle.
.........but it all comes down to the "little things" and whether or not they did them....Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 20 Video - Franchise Mode Customization Suite
Glad to see Generic stadiums "confirmed" that was the one thing I was hoping for. It would have been really disappointing to relocate a team and have them play in a current stadium or MiLB stadium.
I am curious still if the logo behind home plate will change if you choose a MLB stadium.
In DD your team's logo is down the 1st/3rd baselines and the MLB team logo is still behind the plate. I'm hoping they were able to replace that with your custom logo. Especially if you just change the logo but keep the team name the same.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 20 Video - Franchise Mode Customization Suite
They mentioned many times RTTS is the most played mod. Then followed by DD & BR i think. Franchise probably 4th in the list I imagine. So guess where the money, focus & efforts are going.
Only thing is maybe they forgot they built a base of hardcore fans over all those years who are back years over years supporting this game through this forum (roster, sliders and all).
Ok, enough said. Let concentrate on the good news. There`s more good news this year for franchise players than last 2-3 years.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 20 Video - Franchise Mode Customization Suite
I'm making some assumptions here but:
- it looks like it only applies to a new franchise
- it looks like you have to completely rebrand a team. No new alternates for already existing team brands.
- no option to use current team brands and lettering.
- might be 1 team only per franchise.
If all of the above is true, then I have little to no interest in using the feature.
I hope I'm wrong.
At least there seems to be more generic stadiums. New spring training venues for me!

I also have a feeling you’ll be able to edit all 30 teams, as long as you’re usering them.
Just my predictions though, maybe we’ll find out during the stream.Fan of:
