More Throwback Uniforms for 20?

Hopefully SONY will add more throwback uniforms (Pirates Black Top/Yellow Trousers).


From the gameplay trailer they have the 2000 Mets black alternate. I'm hoping that isn't the only one added. Would like to see the 1992 Texas Rangers set etc.

I believe in one of the streams we could see the White Sox had a new powder blue throwback that was added. It’s different than the one currently in The Show 19

Saw that. Great they added another powder blue set when they should have added the 1983 set or the 1977 set to mix n match monochrome Navy/monochrome White or Navy on White or White on Navy.

Last year they did a great job w/ old uni's. In 18 they took some out that were in 17.

I just hope they don't take any that were in 19 out of 20. And just add. I hate it when they take stuff out.

They never add more uniforms. They just replace some unis.

Also, can they replace the uniforms from the early 20th century that nobody remembers? Take the Giants, for example. I'm sure many of us remember the likes of Will Clark, Matt Williams, Scott Garrelts, and Kevin Mitchell. So put the 1983 jerseys in (They were still wearing them in '87 and '89), instead of some jersey from 1917 that nobody cares about.

Or the Cubs. Perhaps we could get the powder blue jerseys from the late 70s or early 80s, or the "Cuba" jerseys they wore from '94 to '96 instead of the plain grey and plain white uniforms they wore in like 1903.

Same with stadiums. I'd rather see Three Rivers Stadium and the Astrodome instead of Forbes Field.

Sorry, I'm going to disagree here. Some of the best stadiums and uniforms came from that era!

Good news is if There Rivers is in, you also have Busch, Riverfront, Veterans, and Fulton County. You can use the same one for all 5. 🤮

I agree on the jerseys. Not on the stadium. They do have a bad era of Forbes in the game, however. Would prefer the 1960’s version.

I hope they go through the new throwbacks in one of the streams. They didn’t do that last year but they still added around 17 - 19 sets of throwbacks.

I don't want to see the early 20th century leave. Have to disagree with you there. I am all for adding in some new ones from more later times. And I do think the 1903 Cubs uniform should be swapped out but for the 1908 uniform. But they should leave those classic early 20th century uniforms in the game but add others. I do want to see the 69 Cubs and the "Cuba" Cubs jerseys as well.

I'm always in the "add, don't subtract" camp.

How hard can it be for SONY to add the rest of the 79 Pirates set Black Top/Yellow/Trousers/Yellow cap. It makes no sense to have two of the same uniform in the game


I agree on the turn of 20th Century sets. They should replace the bland boring Cubs 1903 set with the 1978 set or the 1993 (Rookie of the Year)


Also why does Boston have their 1990 uniforms that are the same as the current Home/Away? Just replace 1990 with 1986.


Why hasn't SONY added the 1982 Brewers uniforms in? The 1970 set is bland and would it hurt to add the 1994 Home/Away/ALTERNATES as well.


For Seattle they have the 1993 set which is the same as the current Home/Away. Only difference is the 1993 Home uniform as the teal brim batting helmet but on the away uniform for 1993 they have the Teal Bill cap when it should be all Navy. Just take that set out and add the 1994-1996 Teal Crown cap and the 1997 Sleeves set with alternate cap.


Since Jackie Robinson is in the game why not have the correct Brooklyn Dodgers uniforms from his time (1947-1956) instead of the 1942 Powder Blue set.

The Pirates aren’t wearing the yellow throwbacks in real life anymore so it will be removed as a current alt in the game. Since they have it in as a throwback though it will remain under that slot, only appearing once now.

My feeling is the next big uni update will be when it crosses over to next gen. Don’t think they will do much until then, would love to be wrong.

Hope on next gen we get ALL the uniforms.
