Unless it only displays the users that are currently online?

In the past it would list the user as CPU. Still hoping CPU is available.

If you guys go onto 19 you can kinda already do this minus inviting your friends, But if you go under "Mini Modes" there is a Post- Season bracket and you can set it up any way you want and there is the CPU. I have been doing this and share-playing with friends while we wait for MLB 20.

I think it might have to have CPU-controlled teams, because otherwise the whole league might have to be thrown out if one player needs to quit the league or the commissioner needs to kick out an unruly player.

When we had someone quit or we bounced them we would flip the user to CPU until we found a replacement.

Re: MLB The Show 20 Video - Custom Leagues

I wish it wasn't just the DD collection you have. That could be very unfair for those that do not really use DD.

I wish all the DD cards were available for leagues, and the commish could set restrictions when making a team.

5x diamonds, 7 golds, rest silver, etc.

Something like that would be fun and get you using many different types of players.

With no fantasy draft, and only USING DD collections that people own, who the hell is going to want to be the marlins in a one season league. There is no minors, no mention of progression/regression, etc. I know it said multi-season but is it as simple as just "resetting" the league and any trades, etc that happened stay in place? That would be my guess.

Good step, but not quite back to online franchise which I would like to see.

Added a bunch of screenshots to the OP link, if anyone wants to dig through and maybe find something we've overlooked.

I just went back to check the video from yesterday, and one of the shots that Steve put up may show something interesting to me.

We don't see any sliders to adjust CPU tendencies, just Human ones. As I recall, the CPU sliders are right after the Human ones and before the pitch speed sliders.

Or maybe I'm wrong and I'll be pleasantly surprised Thursday.

Big question is, can I use the 1989 rosters, put Houston in the National League, Brewers in the AL, have 2 divisions in each league, and eliminate Colorado, Tampa Bay, Miami, and Arizona?

Re: MLB The Show 20 Video - Custom Leagues

We ran some DD leagues in the past. We would set up card restrictions as far as how many Diamonds, Golds, Silvers etc. Then we would have a card draft on GroupMe or Discord.

So no team would have the same cards.

Now we can actually have a real league set-up. Still do a card draft. But now everything is done for us in terms of schedule, stat's, standings, post season etc.

This is a very nice start to online leagues again.

you can't use the 1989 rosters (custom rosters). Unsure about the other questions

Only rosters available are MLB Live Rosters or Diamond Dynasty

CPU and Human sliders are separate and have been since I can remember.

They are, but the video doesn't show the CPU ones between the Human sliders and the pitch speed sliders, which is where I remember them being.

It’s pretty clear from the video that there are no divisions and it’s a balanced schedule, so that’s a “no”. You could do 26 teams, but you’d have a 25, 50, 75, 100 (etc) game round robin and single pool playoff.
