We ran some DD leagues in the past. We would set up card restrictions as far as how many Diamonds, Golds, Silvers etc. Then we would have a card draft on GroupMe or Discord.

So no team would have the same cards.

Now we can actually have a real league set-up. Still do a card draft. But now everything is done for us in terms of schedule, stat's, standings, post season etc.

This is a very nice start to online leagues again.

Count me in if your setting up another DD league

Really hope they allow a fantasy draft for this league

Highly unlikely in my opinion. I hope I am wrong for the sake of those who would like it but I think it would have been mentioned in one of the videos

Same here.

That and CPU teams are the 2 things I’m hoping for.

Custom rosters would be nice, but not a deal-breaker for me.

• The 40-Man Live MLB Leagues use the 40-man rosters of all 30 teams that are updated frequently throughout the year. If you’re not happy with your current roster, try making some trades!
• Diamond Dynasty Collection Leagues allows you to use your entire Diamond Dynasty Collection of player items to build your lineup. Commissioners can even set restrictions on team overalls to keep things even.
• All Leagues offer a Regular Season experience that builds to a Postseason Playoff bracket ending with the World Series. If you didn’t make the Postseason cutoff this season, don’t sweat it. With no limit on the amount of seasons your league can play, there’s always “next year.
• Regular Season length is determined during the creation phase of the Custom League by how many teams are in the League and how many times you play each team (1, 3, 5, or 7).

I just think that’s awful schedule generation.

There should have been divisions and decided that way. If you have 20 players - you’re stuck at 20 or 60 games right off the bat and have to play 19 different people.

Not ideal but I enjoy the idea of it as a first step. Obviously I’d love, if at some point, they could create franchise mode like CFM in Madden where your online leagues have access to all the same things as offline.

But there’s a lot of fun to be had here for sure. Hopefully the community and SDS can work together to build this into an amazingly robust mode in the future.

I may have miss something but do we have player progression and injuries in that mod ?


If not why bother to have 40 man roster when we can play your best 25 players all the time.

Did it say use updated live rosters? Does that mean it pulls ratings from the live rosters?

Yes right... so it will follow real life injuries, call ups maybe ? don't know. So if Judge is injured on may 11th, my roster will reflect that on the 12th ?

Why do I keep getting this sinking feeling that the CPU is not in this mode? They keep driving home leagues with friends. Having the CPU option is intrigual even if you have a league of human players.

Not sure. They mention trades as well. So I would assume the user can trade amongst each other.

I was taking ratings being based off live rosters. DD the same.

This is just crazy, how can you have a league without CPU? People quit and if you don't replace them you are stuck. So that makes no sense. But how can you use DD teams with CPU control, but what about trades then? And what about cards accumulated during the season are they available?

And it does not look like you can mix and match say put you DD team in a league with LS rosters.

So many questions for tomorrow's stream, I hope they answer them all.

The more time goes by, the more anxious I get. One of the screenshots on the PS blog article shows a screen where "The League Is Currently Forming / 1 of 10 Teams". Is the league going to be initially unplayable until every team is taken by a human player? This is so close to what I've been wanting ever since I quit 19's DD last April that disappointment is going to hurt.

This mode has been confirmed that there are cpu teams. Where is this fake news no cpu teams coming from? This mode will never surpass expectations that this board has but will be extremely deep with tons of customization.

Where was this confirmed, I have not seen anything definitive.
