Re: MLB The Show 20 Video - Custom Leagues
This is just crazy, how can you have a league without CPU? People quit and if you don't replace them you are stuck. So that makes no sense. But how can you use DD teams with CPU control, but what about trades then? And what about cards accumulated during the season are they available?
And it does not look like you can mix and match say put you DD team in a league with LS rosters.
So many questions for tomorrow's stream, I hope they answer them all.
Good question about CPU control in a DD league. I assume that if there is CPU controlled teams it will only happen with live rosters?
As others have asked, where is this been confirmed or denied? There is only the one screenshot that showed "1 user online". "1 user online" means just that. It could be a 30 person league with 29 of the users offline.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 20 Video - Custom Leagues
There was a clip of the sliders in one of the videos and they did not include the ability to modify CPU sliders. I could be wrong but I would assume that implies that there is no CPU option in this mode unfortunately.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 20 Video - Custom Leagues
The MLB live rosters will not update themselves inside your custom leagues.
If this was the case it would take away any roster trades other leagues have made not going to happen.
MLB LIVE ROSTERS: means whatever date you choose to create a custom league will use that roster update that's out then.
Only my opinion, but MLB LIVE ROSTERS in the past were not very accurate always had missing players in the lineups, I even seen some legends in to fill holes.
Now with more players on the game this year maybe it wont be as bad as in the past with missing players, But MLB LIVE ROSTERS will not be 100% accurate.
The 6 sec clip today on twitter says play anyway you want fully customizable league with your friends? But it's not fully customizable to me if you can't use custom rosters!
Lastly, the old league setup or online franchise you could have the real MLB SCHEDULE and able to keep it realistic playing real life series. This generated schedule stuff not a fan of and will be based off how many teams on the league you have. I just still prefer the option to use both real MLB schedule or generated schedule.
In the old setup there were CPU teams, you could be the only user if you wanted to be and move to any team you wanted to back then. I was the master at setting up leagues on 17 to reflect realism and real life. I had the AL and NL setup correctly , teams in order etc back then the AL was on wrong side by default so when you got to playoffs the bracket was backwards.
Anyways if anyone has questions how it was then and what we "might" have now feel free to ask.
I'm not sure if it's the same on MLB 20 until I see a league made and go under TEAM MANAGEMENT. This is where you could setup things like divisions, how many CPU teams u wanted, change division names or move teams around before activating your league.Last edited by Houston; 02-26-2020, 08:33 PM.Youtube: https://youtube.com/@mlbnetworkleagu..._hz5M86fl-FbW4

Re: MLB The Show 20 Video - Custom Leagues
My guess going by MLB 17 Online Franchise experience is the created faces, data, memory etc there were some issues with created faces turning to glitch faces, skin tone issues etc.
They did eventually fix all of that and since MLB 20 is only 40 man and not 90 the issues would be minimum, but I guess the 1st year back with leagues they wanted out of the gates not those kinda concerns.
When leagues were only 40 man before you had to set your players on your roster pick and choose who was on the 40 for all 30 teams then you saved that. Then u create your league and was able to load that roster into your league.
It wasnt perfect because u didnt have everyone available, but at least u had control of who would be on the 40 man roster for each team.Youtube: https://youtube.com/@mlbnetworkleagu..._hz5M86fl-FbW4
