My man, call up GameStop and see if they will be giving the game out the night before (Thursday). I preordered the 15th anniversary edition from GameStop and the lady told me I could come in on Thursday at 9 to pick up my copy
Anybody else still deciding whether to get mvp edition or standard?

Still not even convinced I am going to buy it, as nothing they've announced sounds particularly game changing or enticing. It really doesn't sound like a new game tbh, don't think I've ever been so unenthused by the build up to release. Nothing has been announced or shown that makes me think "I can't wait to do xyz".
But then again, I have the money and no games seem to get released anymore that interest me, so I'll almost certainly cave at some point. It'd be standard edition though, as the mvp seems incredibly expensive if you aren't absolutely chomping at the bit to get this years game those few days early.Comment

Re: Anybody else still deciding whether to get mvp edition or standard?
some Gamestops will, depending on the amount of preorders they took. my local GS used to do a midnight release every year for EA's NCAAF (I live in Alabama so it was almost a given GS would lol) but my local GS has never done a midnight release for the Show (again, it's Alabama, and it's baseball)
Yeah here in Canada GameStop is EB Games and the local one in my city has never done the night before release for the exact reason you gave. Not enough pre orders. [emoji30]

Re: Anybody else still deciding whether to get mvp edition or standard?
Any time there's an edition that offers the game a few days early, I buy it. Every time. I'm not rich by any means, but between me and my wife, we do just fine. So $60 for a game here and there is nothing. In fact, I'd pay $100 for games without blinking an eye to be honest. So $20 extra to get the game early, yep, I'll sign up every time.Comment

Re: Anybody else still deciding whether to get mvp edition or standard?
I have not even decided if I am buying it yet, but if I do it will most likely be the digital deluxe version. I think it boils down to the last couple of streams. I need to see the new game mode and the DD content preview.
I have been getting an urge to dive back into Out of The Park Baseball and try to make a serious run at a franchise (or two). Maybe a current Cardinals franchise and then a historic one. Maybe take the 1967 Champion Cardinals and see if I can transition them into the 70's more successfully than they did in real life.
Shoot, who am I kidding. I will probably buy both.Comment

I have preordered the standard edition. It is whack that we don’t also get early access but it is what it is. I will keep playing NHL 20 until then.Comment
