What Team Are You Using In Franchise In The Show 20?

Just like the real life Dodgers I’ve failed to win the World Series in my carry over franchise. I’ll be starting all over with them while also playing as the Royals in AL. The Army is moving me to the Kansas City area this summer so I figured this will help me get to know the team a little and maybe rebuild them.

Probably won’t happen but if I ever make the WS with both in the same year I’ll play the series with the Dodgers.

I'm a Yankee fan. I always play with the Yankees. I try and keep things as realistic as possible, so my roster and rotation and lineups will mirror what is happening in real life. I also do 30-team control and make sure that the other 29 teams have real life accurate rosters.

So I won't be using Severino, as he's injured in real life, for example.

my main one will be with Seattle I plan on playing all the games in this one

i’ll have a secondary one with an NL team haven’t picked who yet, but i’m leaning towards SF or SD.

i’ll probably carry over my White Sox franchise from 2019.

I haven’t been this excited to play franchise mode in a while.

heck road to the show seems more fun this year

I enjoy these threads as well.

At this point I have given up on NBA 2k, NHL, and Madden so the only sports game I am playing from now on is The Show. That being said, here at my plans for 20:

          1. Play 2027 in my Indians future franchise. I simmed to 2025 and played every game starting in 2026. I have already started 2027 and will carry it over.

          2. I did the same premise and have a futures 2027 Rangers franchise as well that I will start with the 2020 schedule and play every game in 20 with. I am in the off-season of 2026 now and will look to win them a title in 2027. The caveat to this is that I was not allowed to sign any free agents to over $10 million per year and my entire lineup must be homegrown talent as well as my rotation. Only the bullpen could I sign free agents for. It's gonna be a fun ride.

          3. I am doing a 1987 Indians franchise where I play 1 sim 10. The goal here is to rewrite history in the early to mid 90s and get the Indians a title. Once I have a great team in place and Jacobs (Progressive) Field opens I will play a full 162 game season. Ideally 1994 or 95 but time will tell. Playing 94 would be fun because there was no world series and it was the opening year of the field. I will be playing their games in a minor league stadium to symbolize Municipal stadium until 1994.

These are aggressive plans on my part and I had initially dubbed 2020 the year of the back log but I find myself playing this game more than any other one I want to complete.

Live in NY. Have my whole life (except one year I lived in the Caribbean). Always the Yankees. I tried the Mets last year but got bored, I'm just not a Mets fan.

Rolling with the Yanks, as always.

I play all 162 games, every pitch, either on Hall of Fame or Legend. Last year I didn’t end up completing my season because I spent much more time playing DD, but this year I plan on starting my franchise day one.

Always the Cubs. Only the Cubs. Wrigley is home. Anything else would be weird.
Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.

Playing with the Braves as per usual... I'll be adding CP Kimbrel, RF/CF J-Hey and SP Teheran back to my team.

I am playing with the BoSox, as always, and this is going to be one of my favorite years. There are so many ways I can take this roster that isn't good enough to contend, isn't bad enough to bottom out, and whose farm system has maybe 4-5 guys that are apart of the future, and a lot of mid-tier guys. My goals are easy, I need to acquire a starter who can slot in the 4-5 spot, get a proven lefty in the bullpen, and stock up on young pitching talent. Devers, Bogaerts, Chavis, Jeter Downs, Benintendi, Vasquez, Durran, Dalbec, Casas, Jimenez Verdugo are all position players I'm not moving, as they're key to my future. Willing to move any other position players. Will try not to touch any pitching prospects, as it's pretty bare to begin with. My #1 trade idea I've had are going to get Morejon/Quantrill and Yates from San Diego. I will play all 162 games in year 1, and then in year 2 I'll go for the complete youth movement. Durran, Downs, Casas, Mata all starting. I could also scrap this, and go with the youth movement, now. I'm jacked.

right now i'm very torn between the Blue Jays, Reds, and Royals.

Toronto has a lot of great young talent but I also like the challenge of building a team up on my own. Love all 3 ballparks. Also the Royals have a new owner IRL.

I am probably going to roll with the Red Sox for a while as well, for some of the reasons you mentioned. Red Sox are an interesting team heading into this year, I am curious though with all those untouchables who are you considering flipping to SD for that trade?

Im not 100% sure as of yet. Normally it is the Jays, but I need to play with the Brewers and those gorgeous uniforms at some point, so I might have a go with them - or a dual Franchise with both teams.

I also plan on seeing how the rebrand works and will probably move the Rays to Montreal and maybe another team to Portland. Im thinking the A's and going with them having a new owner with deep pockets and getting away from the "Moneyball" era. They have a very promising team and seem like a piece or 2 away from being able to win it all.

(I'll most likely end up playing mostly as the Jays, who am I kidding?)

Thanks for the awesome idea. I'd love to get a baseball team in Portland, but nothing can curb my love of the Phillies.

I am looking forward to bringing Bohm up in April if he's playing well in AAA. And I don't foresee Howard lasting long in the minors either, so I am excited to bring him up as well. As an added bonus I get to mash with Harper all season long.

I certainly have my work cut out for me in a tough NL East, though.
