Hey guys, I have a question. In my franchise, I play as the A’s but I’ve been babysitting Ohtani so he gets the 2 way status. DHing him all games besides the day before and day after he pitches. He is past 20 innings pitched and has DHed in more than 20 games in my franchise but still hasn’t received the 2 way player icon. I’m not sure if I’m missing something or what. I’m super confused. Any help would be awesome.

Trying to do that now he should have ALREADY been a 2 way player when franchise starts seeing he has already done this SDS screwed this up. and he counts as a pitcher for the 13 pitcher limit too so you can't keep another pitcher on the roster like the Angels would do.

did you start Ohtani in those DH games? i have heard that he has to start in the games not pinch hit to count.

who knows too they really screwed this up and to much confusment and didn't bother explaining how 2 way players work at all, to busy talking about cards IN DD

Yessir, I always put him at DH in the lineup screen rather than pinch hit. This whole thing is super confusing. I’ve seen YouTube videos of people getting the two way player icon so I know it’s possible. I followed the directions about the 20 innings and 20 games with Atleast 3 at bat stuff but nothing. HELLA confused lol

How have you been handling 2way players in the playoffs? I play with the Cubs and play a SP/RF. In the divisional he played the field the first 2 games and was scheduled to pitch game 4 but the series didn't go that far. In the next round just curious how others might set up his field/pitching schedule

I would pitch them game 1 so they have full energy. Play the field the rest of the series then pitch them game 1 of the next series when they have full energy again.

I ended up pitching him game 4 of the NLCS as if already played the first two games and game 3 I faced a lefty which he isn't good against. In the WS he pitched game 2 and then played the field the rest of the way against righties

Ohtani got his two way status in franchise in year 1 on his own (I play with the Cubs) was wondering if anyone else has played around with it to see if other players could earn the status based on their hitting attributes. I haven't seen any other ones besides the player I made. I was going to adjust some random drafted pitchers stats to see if when they get called up if the computer controlled teams will enter them into the line up and earn two status. i doubt this will work and figured the way the game was coded only ohtani, but I was wondering if any one else has tried this. If it actually works id add in a prospect that has two way potential every few years to add a wrinkle even tho pitchers are hard enough to get out some times
