Re: MLB The Show 20 Q&A Thread
Question: where can I see the team LOB for a specific game? Other than hearing it from the PA guy at the end of the game.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 20 Q&A Thread
Are they not expanding to 40 in this year's edition? In the past it has been incorrectly implemented that anyone on your MLB roster after Aug 31 is eligible for post season, and after the minor league season is done (your team's farm clubs are done or eliminated, up to the 40-man roster can be called up. They haven't allowed for expanded rosters on September 1 in the past because they wait for your minor leagues to be completed.Comment

This year, just like in previous years, and IRL expanded rosters work how you want them to work for you... so, on September 1st (starting this year) of every year you have the ability to have 28 players on your active roster regardless if your minor league teams are eliminated or not, you can call up anyone at anytime.. but for obvios reasons if your minor league teams are in the playoffs you would want to wait until they are done.
Another thing is that you don’t really need to have 28 in September nor 26 during regular season. You can have 28, 27, 26, even 25 or 24 players in your active roster. Its your choice.
As for playoffs eligibility. My understanding is that only players that are on the active roster as of August 31st are eligible for post season play.. unless someone gets injured and you’ll need to replace him.
Hope this info helps dude [emoji1690]!!Comment

Re: MLB The Show 20 Q&A Thread
Just put in The Show 19 on PS4 Pro on 4k display. (haven;t played it since last fall) I found that only the "fastest" graphic preset maintained a pretty steady framerate for me. However I am constantly irritated by all the aliasing (flickering) in the stands and on the base lines. I was thinking of getting MLB 20 and was wondering if they've improved either of these issues at all.
I do all my sports gaming on PC other than MLB the show so I may be a bit spoiled. Sorry....just thought I'd ask so I know what to expect with MLB 20. I'm not looking for more detailed graphics, but hoping they've optimized the code a little to make it look a little more fluent and polished.
Thanks.Comment

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

QQ - If you’re using broadcast view while pitching, are you guys selecting the pitch suggested by the catcher or going based on situational pitching? Figured it’s user preference but just trying to get opinions.. Thank you in advance!Comment

Re: MLB The Show 20 Q&A Thread
I just wanted general opinions on this, but I was wondering if there should be a separate ranked seasons mode for DD where the PCI is not allowed to be used, more of a pure hitting experience. Directional hitting only if you will. I know the PCI is meant for precise hitting, but I don't believe it's realistic for pretty much anything being mashed for a home run just cause you aimed something correctly, even if it was a great pitch. I feel like PCI makes the game a home run fest. I'm still learning it at the moment so maybe my stance will change eventually, but to me pitching well in online games is impossible with the unrealistic hitting the PCI allows. What are your thoughts?Comment

Re: MLB The Show 20 Q&A Thread
As a rule I’m calling my own game, but if things get confusing (which they will) then I will seek guidance from the catcher. Oftentimes it’s just a pitch or two before I get my groove back, other times nothing works and I’ll just throw what the catcher calls because I don’t have any better ideas.Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.Comment

For playoff eligibility, there's a pain in the neck workaround to have all your 40-man roster available to be selected for the playoffs if desired. Otherwise yes anyone on the active 26-man and MLB players on the DL on Aug 31 are your choices for playoffs.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 20 Q&A Thread
Thanks appreciate this. Assuming we answered the original question I'm curious in that you indicated in previous editions we were able to go up to 28 players if desired...I've been playing since 14 and haven't purchased since 17 but I can call up everyone on my 40-man roster if I wish once the farm teams are out of their playoffs. That's why I was wondering if it has changed since 17. I honestly don't care about September 1 as a pertinent date, just that if I get the game are we limited in September to 28 players.

I believe it’s a new rule for baseball this year which is why it has changed.
