But here’s the kicker, He’s dominating every time out, so I don’t understand what’s going on.

What do you guys think is the problem here?, this is only happening with him...
Hey if he's getting it done who cares how much of little bar turns blue?

Hehehe I know, and I don’t really, I just want to know why is that happening with that particular pitcher. Because It should be the opposite.

What do y'all do to get MVP-like diving catches for balls in the infield? I've played 20 ish games so far on 20 and have yet to catch anything. Do you have to use infield dive assist to rob the cpu? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If they have a speedy batter and you are playing the 3rd baseman back, they will tend to drop a bunt for a hit.

I cannot speak to how the AI adapts, if at all, to extreme shifts for pull or hitting the opposite way, because I do not do those shifts.

I will say that if they are defensively shifting for my hitters, if I beat the shift by either bunting or going the other way, most of the time they will come out of that shift in that particular hitters next at bat.

I wish you could turn on the DH after you have started your Franchise.. instead of starting over. I don't usually have it on as I play My Cardinals , but with this past season and with possibly the DH for 21 I was hoping to play my Chise the same. That is an option that should be available even in the middle of your Franchise if you want to play with the DH.

When playing RTTS, I was challenged with "Driving in a run using a Power Swing".

According to the controls, I have to press 'square' before the stride in order to do a Power Swing. Well I did that and drove in the run... but I got "Challenge Failed".

So my question is, how do I swing for Power or Contact when using Pure Analog hitting? I also have my stride set to "flick".

Before the stride? Hmm, I'm not sure about that, regardless of what the in-game help says. At the very least, that would be right on the borderline of when it would accept that input.

Swing type selection in analog isn't something that needs to be timed - it can be done before the pitcher even starts his windup motion. If your swing type changes you should also get a small rumble in the controller as feedback.

Waiting until just before the stride (whether you're trying to time it to that or not) is probably why it didn't work. In a situation like this where you're power swinging to achieve a specific objective, there's probably not any reason to wait until after the pitch is thrown. There's also the possibility that whatever happened to drive in the run wasn't counted as an RBI for you (double play, for example). Couldn't really say much from that angle without more details.

Was there an update that changed camera controls in RTTS and player lock?

When playing in the field, or when baserunning, I used to be able to press R2 (on PS4) to zoom in... I can't do that now.

                    Was something removed or adjusted?

Dynamic difficulty question. I've used dynamic difficulty often, but I am usually using a pretty good team which gets me realistic results. My question is if I use a team like the Tigers will dynamic difficulty cause the Tigers to perform better than they should or does it take team attributes into account as well.

I want to do a rebuild with the Tigers but am concerned that DD will lower the difficulty because the team sucks in order to make the games competitive. Hope this makes sense

It takes only your hitting and pitching ability, measured by OPS (or something comparably close to it) into account. That means if you struggle to hit or pitch, yes - the difficulty will eventually lower regardless of how high or low the players ratings are. Extra base hits are weighed more heavily in the calculation just as it is with OPS - so even one badly-pitched inning can send you down a half-difficulty step if it gets bad enough.

You have the option of freezing the difficulty progression at any time by zeroing the slider, but you can also make it take around twice as long to promote or demote with the slider as well.

If you're going to use another team and you know that you've found a comfortable difficulty level, I'd suggest zeroing the slider - no reason to change what's working for you.

Thanks for the response, I am planning on doing the rebuild when 21 drops so I will have to find the DD sweet spot prior to starting my franchise. In 20, having found the sweet spot I was going to do what you suggested and zero the DD slider from my Braves carryover franchise and use it for my Tigers one. I just don't want a team that should lose 90-100 games make the playoffs because I am using the wrong difficulty

What determines pitcher accuracy? BB/9? Clutch? Control? Arm accuracy? Is there something "under the hood" that comes into play where a pitcher just "has it" today and pitches like Greg Maddox?

I can play a franchise game where the two pitchers have similar ratings, but one is painting corners like Picasso (usually the cpu pitcher) while the other can't hit the broad side of a barn (usually me). Frustrating.

BB/9 is a pitcher's overall accuracy rating, and control refers to his control of an individual pitch. So, you could have a pitcher with low BB/9 still be fairly accurate with a pitch if he has a high enough control rating in it. I don't believe arm accuracy factors into pitching, although it's still an important thing for pitchers to have at least a little bit of, like all fielders. Clutch is quite a bit more ambiguous as to what it affects, although the main time it takes effect is when there are runners on base.

As for the second part.... There's a lot of randomness in The Show's pitching be it human or CPU, and it sometimes breaks for the pitcher (meaning more pitches land closer to where they actually aim), and sometimes for the hitter (more off-target, some landing for balls when they were aimed to be strikes, others landing in the middle of the plate). If there's one thing I've learned about pitching in this game since it started, it's that you have to minimize the risk of the bad randomness hurting you. And I think the CPU actually does a pretty good job of that, which is why a lot of its pitches land on corners instead of the middle of the plate - if it were a human playing I'd say it probably "aims" a fair bit of its pitches just outside the zone, and because of that the ones that do come back over the plate don't catch the middle as often.
