Playing the intro game as Washington. I plunked the first guy than first pitch of batter 2 gave up a two run homerun lmao

I am rusty AF 6-0 in the second

Balance(1440p) seems a bit smoother than last year

Sharper(2160p) seems better as well but still too jittery for me

The fielding throw meter is waaaaay harder than last year(unless I’m just rusty) which is a good thing.

The big softball when you bat from behind the pitcher camera is still there unfortunately.

Had my first glitch. I hit a homerun with Cavan Biggio and at the end of the half inning a cool lead in graphic to the HR replay pops up. It unfortunately said the wrong name. It said vlad jr then lead to the replay of Biggio. Vlad struck out

Overall color me impressed. Just been messing around with my Dodgers. First game vs the Nats in Washington and the game still is as gorgeous as ever. Things look sharp and crisp for me as always.

Didn’t take long for me to go yard with Betts in his first at bat.

Got through my first few games:

I didn’t run into any oddities like the bat float or other weird graphical issues. None

I don’t remember the chalk lines degrading like they do this year. It looks amazing.

Fielding is fun and the throw meter is challenging but very rewarding. I haven’t seen any weird mishaps.

Computer made an error throwing the ball to the pitcher covering first and the whole play just felt organic.

No Heidi

Wipes in replays between some innings with mlb theme are very cool.

Nothing really noteworthy with commentary but it also doesn’t make my ears bleed.....yet lol

Fans have snacks like popcorn and giant pretzels lol

I know some people like the complete drawn out, see every foul ball thing but the pace of play is excellent.

So far my very early impression is this is the most polished version of an already excellent game. Could that change? Ya but last year I had already seen some pretty wonky things by this point. I think the real question is If enough is different, but that’s up to each individual.

Seriously with how well polished this is I can’t complain. I have a strong suspicion Armor and Countryboy are gonna go nuts lol

Started a March to October game and Heidi was there. She did not say “flat out” lol

She hasn’t shown up in my franchise yet though and I’m using mlb network theme exclusively.

Just played a full game on Legend with the Yankees vs. the Angels.
Cole vs. Ohtani
Ohtani is WICKED.
Cole was Cole.
Game felt absolutely AMAZING . . . through 8 innings. And then it happened.
I was up 3-0 in the eighth on two home runs by Gleyber Torres and one by Miguel Andujar. All hangers that were crushed. All felt perfect.
Top 9 I bring in Aroldis. First two batters are pedestrian outs.
Then Rendon hits a single that I dove for and knocked down, but couldn't make a play on.
Then Justin Upton deposited a hanging slider into Brooklyn. Still up 3-2.
Next batter is Pujols. Clean single to center. Matt Thaiss comes up. I do a mound visit to calm Chapman. Didn't matter. Thaiss, who is a lefty and doesn't hit lefties well, takes a slider into the upper deck and I'm down 4-3. Next batter . . . pop out.
Bottom 9 - Robles in for the Angels. First two batters fly out.
Torres, who already has two homers, comes up and hits a clean single to center. Then I make a mistake and instead of pinch running for Torres (who has 40 speed), I pinch hit for Andujar with Hicks. Doesn't matter. Hicks takes the second pitch into the left center field gap and Torres beats the throw home to tie it at 4. Urshela walks. First and second, two out for Gardner.
First pitch, it's a Gardy Party. Destroyed. I win 7-4.
The ENTIRE game felt AMAZING . . . and then the NINTH inning felt awful. Absolutely awful.

Other than that . . . Heidi can be skipped, thank God.
Graphics are crisp. The flow of the game is smooth, no hiccups. Fielding is SMOOTH AS BUTTER! Almost TOO smooth, but great!
I just wish they did something about these God awful stretches where you can't get anyone out. Very frustrating.

The frame rate is just buttery smooth!! Playing on balanced mode with HDR on and there are absolutely no hiccups or stuttering for me.

Also, the bat sounds. Holy cow are they awesome this year. When you hit a bomb this year or someone hits one off you, you can just tell from the crack of the bat that it was killed. So many different bat sounds I'm hearing.
