Yes I Absoutely hate it. Maybe for hybrid or quick play. But full broadcast should always have it pop up like the old days. Even had one full inning go by and not even a prompt to press L2. I want real baseball broadcast.. so make it work like it. I want to focus on the game than having to look at the score thing waiting for the prompt and miss what was going on.

I really like the L2 trigger feature to show lineups and defense, rather than to have to skip it every time I don’t want to see it... This way doesn’t interrupt the flow of the presentation / broadcast.

It makes more sense.

I agree 100% with this. There new idea fine for hybrid and fast play but we pick broadcast for a reason.

I'm real big on online leagues and I remember 16 had fast play only I moaned about it for awhile got them to add broadcast online for 17.

Leagues get removed for 18 and 19 only option was invite a friend option which was FAST PLAY.

You decided to use share play me a my good buddy figure out some share play settings upgraded our internet speed and we got to enjoy a full broadcast and a offline experience.

Was so happy to see custom leagues come back but it's nothing like we had on PS3 and all the way up to PS4 and MLB 17.

This year MLB 20 leagues your forced to use the new MLB THE SHOW THEME its locked and were on fast play no other option.

I flat out hate the direction they took on half this stuff on MLB 20 seems most of it was rushed.

Ok after getting hands on with it I have to say... I actually love the feature. I never miss the audio queue when it becomes available, and if you press x to skip it, it transitions smoothly into the batter walkup cutscene.

I get it, it should only be in hybrid, or at the very least an option, but it works very well with my "on the field" experience (I turn off commentary).

I'm not a fan of the new system. I would much rather things play automatically and just let me press a button to skip if I so choose.

I don't see why it is a big deal to make the lineup/defensive alignment screen automatic for Full Broadcast. It's kind of the one BIG thing that is a part of every broadcast...it doesn't quite make sense to have that as a triggerable event that is easily skipped (and L2 for other presentation modes).

It's just another thing done to cater to impatient gamers....for a sport that is all about patience.

Yes, and you are also shown the pitch type and speed twice, once on screen and once on the score bug in the corner of the screen because you can't turn off the info after every pitch.

Yeah I don't get the having to press L2 to get the full lineup screen, especially when there was always an option to skip it by pressing X.

I also miss the banner for batter walkup stats. I know its shown above the scorebug, but its so unnatural and feels oddly out of place.

I'm spending most of my games using the MLB Network presentation honestly.

I GET what they were trying to do with the new scorebug; but I'm not particularly a fan of the more modern presentation styles in real life either.

I personally like the L2 opt in. After reading this thread I don't think ive missed an opportunity to opt in if I wanted. They give you plenty of time to decide and its subtle and can add to the experience.
It's always above the scorebug. Regardless of the theme

Like I said, I must be stupid and don't know how it works. I've only played through 1 full game so far but whenever L2 popped up I hit the button and nothing happened. I hit it several times and I also tried holding it down and again nothing. Just right on through to the next batter.

I haven't used the MLB Network presentation yet, does it have the old banner for stats during batter walkup?

This might’ve been a decent idea, but it was implemented very poorly and not widely considered for those who wish to never have to hit it and just be shown replays.

Maybe a countdown meter would help. Maybe a toggle in the front end menus to disable the option completely. But the way it stands now is pretty sad.

I love the L2...but a count down meter would be clutch!

The L2 logo flashes 5 times typically above the score bug so you have about 5 seconds to hit L2. Imo its really easy to notice & gives you the details on what you will be opting into
