Otherwise guess I will do it another 10-15 hrs
So the 26 man roster trick doesnt work anymore? That really sucks if true.

For my Franchise, I mirror OD rosters and injuries, then w/e happens, happens.

Unfortunately it does not. You will have to advance to Regular Season and then set all the lineups etc

in the main roster page, i'm noticing that ratings are way low because of morale issues. but the morale issue is saying it's because he's in the bullpen, when he's not in the bullpen.

            any idea?

              Re: Franchise 20 issues/workarounds

I found the cause of roster issues with trading prospects. Each position needs to have at least 1 extra player at each position and there needs to be at least one player at each position in AAA.

I posted a personal roster file off latest live using Houston's caps. It's under my username tabarnes19.

              Personal file..
I need to work on 40 man and some more additions.

What's annoying to me is that removed said players from 40-man roster so that wouldn't happen but I started my franchise and they were added right back to the 40-man roster. Freaking annoying.

I did not read all of the pages of this thread before posting, but does anybody know why most players in Franchise mode are on the last year of their deal? Makes it tough in the offseason trying to sign so many players, and by year two of the Franchise the league already looks so different in terms of who plays for what team.

This is a brand new franchise started on this year's game... not a carryover. It seems like this has always been the case in past games.

Because like real life players are essentially year to year until they reach 6 years of service time and become a free agent and sign a deal. The exception to that is if they sign an extension early in their career.

The first 3 years of MLB service time they are renewable players and essentially are paid league minimum, years 3-6 are arbitration years. They put an offer in and club puts an offer in. They either negotiate a deal or go to a hearing and a arbitration panel selects one.

Found another bug. When going into trade block I cannot find certain players there. Many appear to be in A ball. Seems to be an issue with roster management too when editing rosters.

                        Re: Franchise 20 issues/workarounds

So I am about 21 games into my franchise.

It's a 30 team franchise with the computer 29 teams profile with everything set to auto.

When I set it up I had a few manual injuries and then returned injuries back to on. I simmed the first season to make sure everything looked good and trades etc. looked great.

So 21 games in I had first trade the cpu completed. I decided to sim the season just to check. There were no trades until after the June draft.

Trades were very limited. I can't for the life of me figure out the problem. When I sim one day at a time seems like even fewer trades. It's frustrating and I am afraid to continue and get stuck in a franchise I won't be happy with.

I raised trade sliders to 10 for April and May and saw 2 trades and they did not even come up as a notification. I only saw them in transactions. Notifications for trades seem to come back after June draft.

                        Any ideas or suggestions?

Does anyone have trouble signing big money free agents? Maybe I don't know how the budget works but for 2 straight off-seasons I've tried to sign big money free agents, and when I advance a day it says I can't afford him. For the current off-season I have projected cash flow of 1.60m a week and I'm trying to sign the player for 26m a year, but it keeps rescinding the offer.

This has also been a problem for me, my cash flow says I have plenty of money but the game apparently begs to differ.

I resigned to the fact that the changes a couple years ago to the budget system and then real contracts completely destroyed financials.

I now play with budgets off.

The game sets aside x amount of budget in order for you to resign all arbitration and contract renewable players, as well as fill all 90 roster spots. What the amount is, is unknown.

Sign all the players under control you want to keep and release the ones you don’t and then you’ll have a more accurate idea of the amount of budget you have left to sign big money free agents.
