    Re: Franchise 20 issues/workarounds

Here are the trades that I've had thus far in my carryover franchise

Again the trade slider is at default

Add the quick manage bug to the list. Quick manage is locked when you play a 2 player franchise mode game. You can quick manage skip before the game starts but once you start the game the quick manage option becomes locked for some reason and was never locked in any of the other MLB the Shows

Rebranded the Rays into my own team with custom jerseys and I realize the home jerseys I made should be the road jerseys and vice versa. I am a month into the season. Is there any way to fix this during this season or at least after the season or am I stuck.

You can re brand in off-season

Teams are carrying more than 13 pitchers on active roster. Pre-release was one of the rules that was new and implemented. Doesn't appear to be working correctly.

That green icon next to Ohtani denotes a two-way player, which allows you to carry an extra pitcher since he counts as a hitter.

Good catch I didn't think of that. Although the rule allows a position player to not count as a pitcher. The way it is setup it doesn't label Ohtani as a position player.

Two-way player designation --*A "two-way player" -- someone who both hits and pitches -- is now an official designation. That lets them stay on the roster as a position player and pitch in games without counting toward their team's 13-pitcher pitcher limit. If you designate someone a two-way player, they have to stay that way through the end of the year.

The game does this, it just doesn't put them on to the lineup menu. If you start a two-way player and check the stats within the game menu or win player of the game, it will show him as being a position player, usually a 1B or COF. So it's there, just poorly executed.

I'm not sure about others, but I sim a lot and something I've noticed with Franchise mode is the farther I get in years (like 10+), the more the budget becomes a problem. The only workaround seems to be to just play with budgets turned off, but I like to have to make tough decisions on who to keep/get rid of. At least for me, the longer the franchise goes, no matter how successful my team is, the budget seems to decrease. Also, my team can have 6 straight successful years, but attendance gets worse. I'm assuming attendance is calculated into the budget.

Why I gave up with budgets and went with budgets off this year.

I don't know if its the same as it use to be, as I didn't buy 18 or 19, but the CPU even with budgets off typically try to stay within their budget, if I remember correctly. I cant remember for sure, but I don't remember small market teams, with budgets turned off, going on a spending spree, I think they still followed the budget pretty closely. I just used the house rule, that I would follow my budget fairly closely, to keep things fair with the CPU, since they weren't going way over their budget limits. I don't know why after all these yrs, that they still cant get things right budget wise.
