I know some people have signed him on a one-year free agent contract, but in my case with fantasy draft ... He ended up with a two year deal. So, I'm not sure what the game logic is like .. if it has players retire and walk away from guaranteed money .. but maybe the contract will keep him there for another year.

I signed him for two years thinking a) he'd be solid enough to become a reliever or b) I could use him as part of a trade to desperate team.

i finally finished my 30 team rebranding last night. i will do the fantast draft today and then give an update on the teams i made and then the team i chose along with the starting lineups for the team i control. .. im really loving this so far and cant wait to start playing games and getting to know these players.

Getting ready to head into the all-star break. Just finished June on a 7 game win streak the longest of the season which brings my record to 45-40 (3rd NL West, 1.5 WCGB). Joel O'Malley is performing way better than he did earlier in the season having won 2 games so far in his return. At the plate things have improved. Dylan Netzel had a 12 game hitting streak. Keith Cook I think has a 7 game hitting streak going.Things are looking a bit sunnier in SoCal. Seems as long as I'm not playing teams in my division I'm a decent team. 13-24 in Div. and 26-16 against everyone else.

My June team stats:
14-11 / .266 BA / 22 HR / 83 RBI/ 22 SB / 2.82 ERA / 213 SO

I came here to add another RP who may sleep by some people. I just happened to have him in a test run I did. (Fantasy draft where I drafted 13 pitchers before filling in fielders). Seth Thompson is not as good as Money, but he can get the job done as well. He won 3 straight P Silver Sluggers for that team. Worst season was 7 HRs on 160ish ABs, best was 15.

He really got me thinking about using a RP as an opener and in the lead off slot. In away games, you could potentially get 2 ABs out of the pitcher slot by the 3rd inning, and then pull him for the starter at the bottom of the 3rd. I guess it really depends on the situation.

I'd love to have a team with Vince Cartwright, Ed Money, and Seth Thompson.

I've been using Money as a hitter against LHP, and reliever in games against RHP. He's got about 40 innings pitched and about 180 ABs in mid-August in my franchise.

Using JoshC's sliders.

Yeah that that HR from cook was a surprise, the first 2 months of the season he was barely able to get above .200 now he's hitting HRs and had a 10 game hit streak at one point.

Quick question, if I’m using a RP as my closer can I edit him to a CP at any point. Will editing him that way change anything with his attributes or contract?

No, it will not. I'd honestly ignore the CP/RP difference. Overalls may change but everything else stays the same.

This is my fantasy drafted team we had the #4 pick and I took big 1B Rex West .. I feel like the team is good but pitching may be a little weak but we will see .. and I'm looking forward to seeing how Rockwell does for me .. Ok cool, I’ll just leave him as RP. It’s Aquavito (Marlins), I traded the closer Love earlier in season and Aquavito has been lights out since. Hits 100, wicked split, and knuckle curve.

My next game is actually against the team he went to and he's on the mound back at his old ballpark. I'm definitely going to be playing that one out, so I'll be able to report back whether or not I can hit Rockwell!

In his return to our home field, I was able to get to Rockwell. He went 5 innings, allowed 9 hits and four earned runs, while striking out three and walking none. He takes the loss as my squad takes its 5-1.

Jamaal Mann tagged a solo homer on a hanging changeup, while league leading hitter Homer Webster was a catalyst and run producer, going 4 for 4 (3 hits off Rockwell) with an RBI, run scored and two doubles.
