Sometimes I literally can't distinguish the two unless I'm focusing really hard on it (this was especially true of Eric & Steve).
I thought it was just me who couldn't tell DeRosa and Plesac apart! The only time I know the difference is when they ask each other a question about being a pitcher or fielder.

If they want to keep all 3 they could do a two man booth where sometimes it's Matt and Dan others it's Matt and Mark. Record a ton of new lines so they can get some more banter and it solves the problem of having the same team for every game. Maybe keep the 3 man both for the playoffs or something.

Plesac is the one who sounds like he's eating while he's talking. DeRo is the one who sounds like he's had too much sugar in his coffee.

Thanks for that. I agree they sound like the same person, legit sounds like a two man booth 99% of the time.

I know it’s a tough call but what’s the single worst/ most annoying line of “commentary” from either Pleasc or DeRosa?

ambush tactic from DeRo though that isn't nearly as bas bad as anything Mushmouth Plesac says. IRL Plesac is more than serviceable but he just can't read lines. they should just record Plesac ad-libbing his lines and stop giving him prefabricated things to say. he just fumbles his lines too much when he's going by a script IMO

The lines get repetitive but at least we don't have to listen to Joe Buck. If he were ever to replace Matt V. then commentary would be the first thing I turned off.

Such a good question so many bad lines to choose from.

I'll go with the one about a switch hitter not being Chipper Jones and not having pop from both sides of the plate because....

                A) it's just annoying
                and
                B) he says it when it doesn't apply for example my guy at 1B has 90+ power from both sides yet he doesn't have pop?... If that not pop then what does he have exactly?

Everything from DeRosa is nails on a chalkboard but especially the line that ends with "drive something out of the yard this AB."

I just hate his inflection and the way he speaks. He's awful.

I forget the specific lines but the one Plesac will say after a bad swing, ending with something along the lines of “say Howdy, if you’re waving at me”

I get tired of hearing about the "young" starter on the mound regardless of who it is and what age they are.

I highly DOUBT it will ever happen but I'd love to hear each home teams different announcers, like the cubs have their WGN announcers and St.Louis has theirs..each team does.

Wouldn't it be awesome to hear different announcers from team to team?

Of course! Several resources will always make this a grand impossibility, though... the main ones being cost and memory.
