Some good news on 1.06


If you, like me like to play without the pitch info white dot displayed......the pitch type and pitch velocity is now back on the score bug!!

So it was fixed.

The issues with the base runner interface design decision, is they tied it to the auto fielding toggle “INSTEAD” of the throw decision toggle.

I totally get it if a person is playing full auto fielding and auto throw.....you don’t really need to see that runner interface for the CPU.

BUT THOSE that play with auto fielding and MANUAL throwing (where we like to make all the throws) NEED THAT INTERFACE DISPLAYED so we can make throwing decisions!!!!

SO they hacked it to the wrong toggle.

This can be fixed. And it needs to be ASAP.

I totally agree with everything you’ve said. And yes, it will be a major disappointment if this issue isn’t reversed. I’ve played much like you since 2009 with auto base running and fielding and manual throwing. Everything is out of whack now. I hope you’re correct and they fix this soon. Appreciate your thoughts and comments!

Correct. You are playing blind.

So it is unplayable for auto fielders....who make their own throws. And even auto fielders who auto throw.....why are these design decisions being made on the fly when none of us have ever requested it.....ever.

It is mind boggling at this point. three significant bugs in total introduced on 1.05 and now 1.06 for those of us who have played this game the exact same way for 15 years plus.

Again incredibly disappointed in the execution, decisions and utter failures of these last several updates as well as removing the “pitch callout” toggle which never ever should have been removed to begin with. This started the path we are on by having them patch in an all or nothing toggle on the white dot pitch callout but at the same time removing pitch speeds and types from the score bug. Then at the same time introducing this freaking blue circle underneath our fielders for those playing clean screen auto fielding (manual throwing or not does not matter was never there before) and now we got the base runner interface REMOVED!!!! WHY!!!

Anyway.......it is a total unmitigated mess.

I agree. This is beyond frustrating as it has been my one escape from the scary world we are living in and now I don’t even have that.

SDS used to be so good about adding to their game and not removing things but that has clearly changed.

It is becoming clear they do not test things when releasing patches and that, to me, is inexcusable.

Well I certainly have been defending SDS this year, and I am still overjoyed with the product. I, fortunately, did not download 1.06. I agree this is a major issue for those of us who play AF and manual throw. I do think they need to re-visit their current QC model. Let's hope this gets corrected ASAP and it doesn't create new bugs like AB.

A lot of us are really hot on this right now......this is not needed. Clean screen has been turned on it’s ear here with the last two updates.

I use auto base running and would manually send the lead runner sometimes or try to stretch a single into a double. Now I cant see the runner (batter) because the diamond is missing! Why remove this? This is infuriating. I have no interest in manually controlling all the base runners, just the ones I choose to.

Report it report it report it. (file the big report and also include the blue circle under the fielders in auto fielding that was introduced on 1.05 for those that auto field).

The more we report it the quicker it will be reversed.

I stopped the download just in-time and turn off any automatic downloads. Being only a sports gamer, I think this is a needed step from now-on.

Like many of you, I am frustrated by these recent patches. MLBTS has always been the gold-standard in providing options. Different inputs, configurations, presentation elements, arguably they are the best at it out of any sports games. Worst, is they're making these changes without details on why. It's seem so counterintuitive to the way they have done things in the past.

On top of that, they're normally great about not breaking things with patches. I know we have a pandemic on our hands, but these errors just don't seem SDS like at-all.

I'll be playing 1.05 until I these issues are addressed.

Agreed. And these are simply minuscule problems compared to the real tragedies taking place around the country. I am totally ok with waiting for fixes.

It has been very “un” SDS like though this release. And it is quite apparent they have a bunch of rookies helping out with updates. Things are off kilter in the dugout.

They are going to have to get through this as well and get back to playing winning baseball.

(you can se I am trying to be light hearted here and have some positive energy and pep talking to them).

Let’s go boys......break the losing streak here the past two weeks LOL.

I work in software development for a much different client base (Pharma and consumer goods) but I feel their pain. They have a schedule they need to try and stick to for this years game and likely extremely short resources.

For example all our testing is done in India. Last week they were told with no notice transportation is shut off and you can't travel for 21 days. Nobody could have planned for that and yet stuff still needs to get done.

So A. I would give them a lot of credit for continuing to push stuff out even if we don't like some of it. B. I'd highly recommend they avoid major changes like changing the running windows. It just doesn't help anyone. And resourcing right now sucks balls.
