Season was all I played. I can only get through 1 season between game cycles anyway and transferring a season to the next version would turn retired players into fictional players so I wouldn't transfer seasons. I also don't like the regression/progression stuff in franchise because it doesn't really seem realistic. I'm still a bit peeved they removed it without telling us and the only way we could find out was by buying the game. That was the last time I pre-ordered.

lol - I've played my share of seasons on the Show over the years where I didnt even sniff 65 wins, and it was still worthwhile from my certain point of view to play the game. *Herm Edwards voice* ‘‘You play to <strike>win </strike>- play the game!’’OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: SDS: Patch in Franchise Schedule?
I just hope this forces the hands of SDS to have shortened seasons in franchise. for the love of god no one has 162 games worth of time let alone patience, and no MTO is NOT the answer. Its fine as a mode but isnt the same as controlling every game. 50 games 30 games whatever works just something shorter please !!
I played 162 last year and am planning on doing it again this year with at least 3 different franchises (or two chises with a second full year for one of them).Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

Re: SDS: Patch in Franchise Schedule?
I like the idea of having the choice to chose a shorter season as I remember doing that on Ken Griffey Baseball and World Series Baseball back in the 90s. It'd be a nice option when I play franchises outside of my main one as I hate the idea of simming games only because I like being part of all the action.
As far as the patience of playing all 162 games. It seems daunting at first but with the ability to carry over saves it doesn't seem so bad. Also if one wanted time for other games just play one game a day matching the real world date to the date in the game. I also get that some people want to burn through 5 or 10 years in a season for most instant satisfaction."Listen son, you only have enough runs when you’re showering after a win."Comment

Re: SDS: Patch in Franchise Schedule?
As a former season mode player who was forced to go franchise I don't think I could go back until they address the 'feature' where all of your division games are at the beginning of the season. This would happen even in an 81 game season.
Not playing aginast your rivals down the stretch was a real drag for me.Comment

Anything is possible.
That said, I immediately thought of that line from Jurassic Park, "(They) were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
All good though....Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment
