    Question on injuries and CPU

If I have a team set to CPU control and I manually injure a player (Chris Sale) and have him out for 6+ months and not on the 40 man roster, will the CPU add him to the 40 and MLB roster when he returns?

What about a shorter term injury, but still on the 40 man, will they add someone back to lineup?

I don’t want to set a bunch of injuries if the CPU will never adjust.

Sale is already on the 40 man roster, so unless you removed him or DFA’ed him before you injured him, he automatically rejoins the 40 when he comes off the IL. Guys on the 60-day IL are “removed” from the 40 man roster temporarily FYI (so that teams can add a replacement) but I believe they get automatically reinstated when they are activated.

If you manually removed him, or you are using a roster set that excluded him from the 40 to begin with, the CPU does not automatically add him back. They may, or he may park in the minors for a while. I’ve seen the CPU do both in the past.

I assume you are doing 30-team control? You can set injury management to manual for CPU teams so that you get a notification when he becomes healthy.

Thanks. I removed him prior to starting from 40 man. So it sounds like I’ll have to re-add.

In future, if I start franchise, sounds like it’s best to leave on 40, injure, and turn it over to CPU as opposed to removing him from 40 myself.
