Re: HDR on the Show
I have a TCL as well and each HDR preset (Dark, Normal, Bright) has different settings, so maybe you were using a different preset before? I would also try resetting to default if you can’t get it back to the way it was previously. Make sure you have Game Mode enabled as well and LED Motion Clarity OFF.Comment

Re: HDR on the Show
Seems kinda split, I guess personal preference but no one is mentioning what they think about the FPS with HDR on I think it looks good both ways but the lag is worse when I’m playing with it on

Yeah I mentioned it in my previous post."When it's all set and done, reality is the best innovation."Comment

Re: HDR on the Show
I did. Said gameplay is buttery smooth. It didn't put on a FPS counter but I play HOF with pitch speeds at 10 if that helps.Comment

Re: HDR on the Show
Playing around with picture settings and HDR this afternoon....... too picture was with HDR off and playing a day game at Minute Maid Park..... the bottom picture is with HDR on and a day game at Chase Field........ both look good but it does seem the HDR version may be more “photorealistic” what’s you guys thoughts on this comparison, what’s better?

Re: HDR on the Show
Here’s a couple more that are more apples to apples.......HDR off the colors seem to “pop” but I think with it in the whole thing is a bit more realistic....... lol I’m not sure what I like better at this point

One thought for those having HDR problems: Have you tried manually adjusting the screen size using Nvidia (or video card) control panel? Before I adjusted screen size, my HDR was faded too on desktop (I didn't check game). As soon as I adjusted, glory. Just a thought.Comment

Re: HDR on the Show
It is always hard to see what you are seeing in a screenshot, but the HDR on my screen really pops. Hard to describe. It looks nothing like your screenshots. It really pops outside the game too.

Not super familiar with NVIDIA...... is that something that would work on a TV or just computer monitors? How does it work and what would I need to do? Thanks [emoji120]

Re: HDR on the Show
HDR is a mess of a standard, and the TV industry is rife with anti-consumer practices. It is very possible for HDR in the Show to look great on some TVs and terrible on others, even when other games look good in HDR on both (or neither).
Also keep in mind that if you haven't messed around with the pictures settings, the out of box settings on a TV are usually wrong.
TV default settings are set to the settings that are statistically proven to attract the most purchases with their sample videos under typical store lighting. They are in no way correct or balanced.

Ya I’ve been tinkering with settings for a day or so....... I have it looking better with HDR on....... I’ve always heard u should leave sharpness down or off and don’t mess with things like “black detail” and “active full array” but in my experience on the show those make the picture quality way better with HDR on so it’s a hard things to try and accomplish and not over saturate or make the picture look “cartoonish”
