The biggest finding I’ve come to is that hdr isn’t the issue with the game, it’s the resolution makes the framerate pretty bad when above 1080p....... with 1080p and hdr on my picture is really good and the FPS is 100% better than when it’s in 1440 or higher which in return just makes the game look and operate so much smoother and more realistically

Yea I have to play on Faster (1080p). Playing on Balanced it’s good, but I just prefer silky smoothness of 60FPS Overall on both my Tv’s

Agreed. TCL is the best bang for the buck and the HDR looks great, both for gaming and movies.

For the ones having HDR problems, I would suggest tweaking some settings before just turning it off.
I have the C9 as well and you're right it looks amazing. I also had the ks8000 but got rid of it last year. Even though it has higher nits the OLED blows it out the water when to comes to HDR, black levels, motion and honestly everything.

Yea the HDR is a lot better on the C9 compared to the C7. The C7 suffers from dark HDR in game modes. I have the B7 in the bedroom and hated that tv for gaming for that same issue.

Well HDR looked great in Tomb Raider, Uncharted and Call of Duty so it also definitely has something to do with how SDS has tweaked it.

After researching and best i could come up with is a Insignia 55” 4K LED or LG 55” 4K LED. Both smart tv (don’t know on exact model) Cheap. No idea how they are though. Reviews are good but not gaming reviews so.. LG is a 2019 model while Insignia is 2018 so I would think LG would be more up to date... but ya. Anyone have or had one of those, feedbacks would be welcome.

I would recommend saving for a quality one instead.

Yeah not possible for me. I don’t make much and the money I make are usually gone on bills/apartment etc etc. (the fun of being separated and sharing kids). Got lucky with making more from the gov’t than I make while working during this pandemic so I’m taking advantage and spoil myself with a tv. My tv is a 10 years old tv, still like new though.

Between those 2, the LG is the better option.

Yeah I figured that. Unfortunately from what I read their stand is crap. My living room is a bit unique to adjust around to get tv up on the wall. That part I’m struggling with lol. Eventhough the the review on the Insignia I’m thinking of getting is 4.7 out of 5 (same with the LG) over 3000 reviews. Better stand too, cheaper by $50. Might be leaning toward that.. hopefully it end up being a good one.

I hate to be the wet blanket here, but it sounds like your best option is to be financially prudent and save the money.

Although by saying that I've made just about every economist (including the one living in my body) mad at me.

I'm wealthy now, but that's only because I was so frugal early in life. Based on salary alone, I'm not a wealthy person. I've loosened my spending up a bit the past few years, but the only way I'm going to continue to be wealthy is through strict budgeting.

PS I mostly spend my new extra budget on better food, electronics, and beer. Beer used to be a special occasion thing. Now I drink way to much.

Yeah I looked through list of recommended tv, TCL is one of the “rising stars” and I found a cheap 6 series... now I’m considering it... slightly over my budget.. I’ll figure something out eventually lol. Thanks guys for your help. Hope I’ll find something decent at least for the price and gaming.
