    Re: Underrated/Surprising Players Thread

Jose Cisnero is one for me. 20 games pitched, 16 innings, 1.13 ERA, 11 holds, 2-0 record as the primary setup man for Joe Jimenez.

Cameron Maybin: .303, 8HR, 25 RBI 45 games as the primary RF
Austin Romine: .304, 4 HR, 21 RBI 41 games as the primary CA
JaCoby Jones: .272, 3 HR, 22 RBI 46 games as the primary CF
    C.J. Cron: .283, 12 HR, 39 RBI 51 games as primary 1B

Cron has already walked a career high 38 times and has a .398 OBP

And not so much a surprise, as a resurgence, but.....

Miguel Cabrera: .355, 13 HR, 56 RBI 52 games as primary DH

I'm not controlling them, but Miguel Anduhar is absolutely raking for the Yankees, I think he's a 86 OVR or something like that. However, he is hitting .359 with 27 HR and 79 RBI. It's the 2nd week of June. Never seen anything like it lol.

Jacoby Jones has 5 hrs through 11 games for me as my starting short stop in my Cards save. I also always grab Daniel Palka for a lefty off the bench. For pitchers, Brad Wieck off the Cubs has been a lights out lefty for me.

Danny Santana with the Rangers is an absolute monster for me this year. He’s in the MVP talk and it’s the end of May.

I tried to do a franchise with the worse team I could think of. So I chose the Orioles (sorry caufield &#128556. By mid season Andrew Vasquez and steve Wilkerson we’re crushing it so we’ll, I had to insert them into the starting lineup (Vazquez at short. Wilkerson at 3rd not his natural position but he is a utility guy). Wilkerson finished hitting .294 with 16 HR and 55 RBI’s. And Vazquez finished .323 with 13 HR and won a gold glove in the outfield even though I played him at short all season

This for me too. Calhoun has such great contact/power ratings but he's a bronze because his defense is so bad. He's my DH in two custom leagues atm.
BFR's future is still TBD, stay tuned for updates

The great Pat Valaika mashes in this game. Plus power. No splits.

Set and forget as your second baseman in any franchise. Shades of Jeff Kent before he was JEFF KENT.

I have another one for the Jays - Reese McGuire has been ridiculous for me. I don’t know if it’s just his stance but I hit very well with him

I've had a lot of success with Austin Allen in my MTO run with Oakland.

                          That's awesome...lol

Video game Pat Valaika is like an early 2000s Montreal Expo. Nobody knows who he is until he finishes with like 50 doubles and 25 HRs. Super underrated.

JP Crawford is in the MVP discussion for me, even though Miguel Anduhar is probably going to win that, Anduhar is currently hitting .339 with 42 HR, and 115 RBI. Meanwhile, Crawford in year 2 while only being rated an 80 or so (late July year 2) is hitting .347, with 29 HR, and 82 RBI and we are only in late July. I also only play 1 game per series while simming the rest. I was considering trading him when I first started up my franchise but he has made that impossible.
