I'm in early June in my franchise and the current MVP front runners are Jesse Winker and Jorge Soler, both of which I found surprising. The Reds are currently in 1st place by 4 games and KC is in 2nd place, 2GB of Min.
I have another one for the Jays - Reese McGuire has been ridiculous for me. I don’t know if it’s just his stance but I hit very well with him

I haven’t played much but had a game playing with him and he’s been hitting away. I think 3 hits in a game. Also the other day, cpu vs cpu, Chris Owings who had under .200 BA last season went 4 for 5 with 4rbi, mvp of the game lol.
I moved Chris Davis to platoon leftfield so Mancini could man first. I guess it's coincidence but Davis is crushing again. it was slow at first but recently I took the platoon/interim designation off him and for the last week I have less trepidation about his $23 million pricetag.

The great Pat Valaika mashes in this game. Plus power. No splits.
Set and forget as your second baseman in any franchise. Shades of Jeff Kent before he was JEFF KENT.

Valaika just cranked 3 taters in 3 games against me in a series 😂😂😂

That's awesome...lol
Video game Pat Valaika is like an early 2000s Montreal Expo. Nobody knows who he is until he finishes with like 50 doubles and 25 HRs. Super underrated.
I sent Valaika back to Colorado before I went into franchise mode. maybe I mistaked but I love Hanser at second and Iglesias at short, and Núñez and Ruiz at third, there's just no room at the inn.
Caulfield -- speaking of underrated players, Rio Ruiz is surprisingly good in this game.
I've played exhibitions with the O's and Ruiz always stands out. He reminds me of a young JT Snow -- gap power, patience and defense.
The O's actually have some intriguing players. Mike Elias is building something over there.
yeah, I kinda wish I had more opportunity to use Rio in Atlanta.
pitching-wise I haven't enjoyed a Baltimore pitcher like John Means since Ubaldo's first year as an O.
and I like to think it's me turning the O's into W's, not Elias

Absolutely lol. I also like the challenge of turning rebuilding teams into winners.
Have you added to the O's pitching staff or rolled with the same real-life staff? I was close to starting an O's franchise but never figured out the pitching, especially in that meat grinder of a division.

I converted Hector Velazquez from the bullpen to my rotation because his stamina dictated that, plus I signed as temporary band-aid fixes Ervin Santana and Clay Buccholz to one year deals (I dont do a carry-over save with Baltimore, I do that with Atlanta) and for the bullpen added free agents Arodys Vizcaino and Pat Neshek to one year deals. this pitching staff is ugly but serviceable if I keep rotating pitchers from AAA Norfolk to the Show. it's been a helluva ride and anyways, I'd rather lose in Baltimore than win in LA, NY or Boston. the last 10 years Toronto and Tampa have caused as much problems as the Yankees and Boston. its definitely a meat grinder but I really love competing (or attempting to compete) in the AL East.
In my Red Sox franchise - Mitch Moreland is having a ridiculous season for me.
Moreland was hitting .169 with 2 HR & 9 RBI through the first 29 games of the season and I was on the verge of moving Michael Chavis over to be my starting first baseman when suddenly Moreland's bat woke up and he has absolutely raked since then.
I am now 147 games into my season and Moreland is hitting .308 with a team leading 45 HR & 110 RBI
He has basically hit 43 HR and 101 RBI over the last 117 games
