Re: Classic ballparks I want MLB The Show to add
I'd never heard of the Jays old stadium but when I saw that weird design I wanted to see it in a video game. Reading about it I know it is not thought of fondly. I even read a player was fined for hitting a bird with a ball there once.
Still, I just think it might look cool in the game. But I do agree it isn't high on the list. It is more of the oddball look. And I was trying to include something for a few teams that no one ever thinks about having another stadium.
I'm not against more classic stadiums, but I am for more generic stadiums, both for relocation and for (in my case) spring training. Mind you if you if we ever get the ability to control temperatures I'd probably end up using the mistake on the lake as a spring training facility for a lark.

Fair enough, and you know, more is always better.

Re: Classic ballparks I want MLB The Show to add
Old Comiskey and Tiger Stadium have been at the top of my stadium wishlist for awhile. Ebbets Field should definitely be in the game at some point too, but, for me personally, the first two would be a higher priority.
And as a Giants fan, I'd love to see Candlestick Park in the game at some point as well. Though, I'm not exactly holding my breath on it. In particular, I think the Roger Craig-era version of the stadium with the chain-link outfield fence and no metal bleachers would be cool to have.
While I don't think they should take priority over classic parks, more Minor League and, especially, Spring Training parks would be appreciated as well.Last edited by ripcandlestickpark; 04-22-2020, 02:53 PM.MLB: San Francisco Giants, Oakland Athletics (Sell The Damn Team, Fisher!)

I was actually surprised to find that Ebbetts Field is not included in the game when I rebranded the L.A Dodgers to the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Re: Classic ballparks I want MLB The Show to add
I have had real minor league parks on my wishlist for some time now. Maybe with next gen we'll seem them but with everything shutdown at the moment we might not unless they've already scanned the parks.Check out my updated 2017 blog on building a high school football video game:

Re: Classic ballparks I want MLB The Show to add
In this order:
1. Ebbets Field
2. Tiger Stadium
3. The Kingdome
I also think Diamond Dynasty - being somewhat of a playful, "fictional" mode - would hugely benefit from fictional, perhaps-a-bit-quirky stadiums. (In addition to a Create-a-Ballpark feature that you could host your home games in!). I'd love to see the following in DD:
1. an Iowa cornfield a la Field of Dreams
2. a big-league sized remake of The Sandlot (with a "Beast devouring ball" animation whenever you go deep to left or left-center.)
For the create-your-park feature, I think it's doable. Imagine a grid of a stadium, with graph-paper-esque filling. Let players:
design their wall dimensions, within reasonable parameters (for instance, anywhere between 305-365 down the lines, 390-425 in Center... walls anywhere between... the height of right-field Fenway and the Green Monster.
Maybe a handful of outfield bleacher options, or the option for 2nd, 3rd decks. Then a dozen 'painted' backgrounds to set the scene (suburbs, high-rise downtown, colorful Tokyo kind of night, frosty mountains with a green forest in the foreground, a huge lake, the ocean, gritty industrial area, "any town USA" kind of feel.... you get the picture. NCAA Baseball 2004 did this exceptionally well, and I still think about it to this day.
While we are here... Negro League players in Diamond Dynasty. PLEASE. It's the perfect opportunity to pay them tribute and give them some (virtual) run!!Comment
