I’ve played 4 games after the patch, auto base running, and I’ve had no problems. I have no idea why it would be messed up in RTTS and not user v. CPU.

Since this update came out all I have played is RTTS and I have noticed this problem. Cannot speak to other modes. It is definitely noticeably worse than before the update, I have had numerous situations where it has not made any sense as to why my teammates would not run.

Very obvious hits nowhere near outfielders or quick drop bloop hits and they will either pause as waiting for a pop up to be caught or stay on the base until it makes contact with the ground. It has prevented so many easy RBIs.

Sometimes my outfielder wont throw the ball. I dont get it, happened last year too

Just my 2 cents worth, but I think baseball, with the complex nature of the sport (lots of strategy and fundamentals from each position), has to be one of the most difficult games to turn into a video game. To make things even tougher, SDS has to come up with new features and animations every year. Think of it as a new model a car manufacturer comes out with that will have several bugs to iron out. Thank goodness for patches and a company that at least tries to satisfy its customers. This is by far and away the best baseball video game franchise of all time in my opinion. It may not be perfect, but it is the best.

Bugs with new features is one thing, but when things that were working before, or any part of the previous version actually gets worse than the previous version, something is wrong there.

Are you preloading your throws? Do you have throw cancelling on?

3 innings in, 3 errors. 2 throwing and one fielding... all in the infield.

At least I’ve caught a few fly balls without any trouble?

Spoke too soon, my 2B dropped a routine pop up... 4 errors in total.

Played 3 more games with no issues - seems as if OF’s are getting warped in earlier... which at this point I won’t complain about if they make the play.

Took a no hitter into the 9th too...

No issues playing last night between events, conquest, and showdown. Played a little MTO before work and first fly ball Will Myers didn't lock in and took it right off the skull. Still there but doesn't seem to be as frequent as before. Still cringe on every fly ball though.

I also had an issue first game I played after the patch...
RF didn't lock into catching a routine flyball and took it off the shoulder. Gave up 4 unearned runs that inning leading to a loss [emoji21]

Let's be honest... fielding isn't very rewarding even when you pull off a nice catch. But auto-fielding feels so cheap and dirty.

You will actually see more animations with auto fielding on. I use to think like you, and always used manual fielding, but father time caught up with me a little early, and my reaction time, just isn't anywhere near what it use to be, and I heard someone on here say several yrs ago that auto fielding lets you see more animations, like your actually watching a game on TV, so I gave it a try, and I haven't looked back since then. Ive probably been using auto fielding, except I make the throws, since 09 or 10.

But there is something to be said for having full control, it feels more rewarding, to some extent, when your in full control, so I understand why most likely prefer manual fielding. Im just glad auto fielding is there, for us old guys:wink:

Animations are definitely triggering earlier which is great... had an instance in the 9th where my LF jogged to a flyball vs. sprinting which end up costing me the game though.

Fielding has definitely been tuned this patch, though last game I did have an issue where Stanton raced to a fly ball, got there, but the animation triggered late and it landed at his feet. Frustrating.
