Auto Baserunning Broken After Patch 1.10

AB had been working great until the latest patch. Now it is auto canceling frequently throughout a game and, of course, at critical moments.

SDS...please fix..for those of us who do not manually base run it is a killer. It also takes our focus away from watching this beautiful game to making sure after every in play ball the runners have not auto canceled. It has already cost me a few runs in 3 games played since the patch.

It was broken before the patch. Some modes are worse than others.

That is built into the base running logic engine and has a lot to do with the baserunning aggression attribute of your runner.

What i'm talking about is the runner literally freezes halfway between bases and the AB icon switches to manual. You must then manually advance each or your runners.

Whenever I get a hit to the outfield I try to tap L1 to make sre the runners are advancing (instead of retreating back). Unfortunately it does not always prove successful as once the baserunner starts in the wrong direction valuable time is lost as he turns around to head to the next base.

Exactly..that is why the freezing is frustrating. Once you realize it has canceled it is too late to advance the runner(s) properly. So the runners are stuck in no man's land.

The base runners are getting stuck in animations and running in place. Check the replay next time you see a base runner freeze. Very frustrating.

I've had issues too. Runners are now exceptionally cautious to move from second on a deep fly, even when its obvious that its going to land and not be caught. Last night, my batter reached second base and the man who was there hadn't even moved yet. It should have been a run scored and maybe a triple, but I ended up with men on second and third, and because the next man up struck out, didn't score.

I've also had some hesitation issues at third, where they just stand there and think about it instead of running, BUT then eventually do and are almost thrown out at home. I went to Auto because Assist was broken this way, and now Auto is having trouble too. Frustrating.

Unfortunately, to combat baserunning cheese in online play, they deliberately made all baserunners turn like cruise liners, resulting in most of these problems. The ai frequently makes bad decisions to go back to second on plays it absolutely shouldn't, but you can't quickly override this because of the horrendous turning speed they programmed in.

I just got thrown out advancing from 2nd to 3rd on a ground ball to the right fielder because the runner retreated to 2nd, then took forever turning so was thrown out by a mile. The runner should never dive back into second on a ground ball to the right hand side, but the fact it takes so long to override the bad logic is what resulted in the problem. In reality, he should be scoring on that play, but instead I couldn't even get to third.

Online play leads to the games being worse for offline franchise gamers yet again, in every sports title. Over in over, in new ways all the time.

In my MTO and Franchises I use auto fielding and base running. Since the patch I've stopped counting the base running issues I have seen, never had an issue before, and now its a few times a game.

Next at bat I lined a 3-2 pitch right to 3B.. Mets tie it 8-8 with a lead off home run the next half inning, cant make it up.

I'm currently in the top of the 9th tied at 8.

Why is the game taking so long? Family showed up out side to social distance talk. Sigh.

Yes that is painful...he has to advance on ground ball with bases loaded. I assume this was AB?
