I have never done a franchise long enough to find out if this concept comes to fruition. Did SDS program the ability for players to "honor their college/JC commitment" and then come out in a later draft? Can Joe Smith be draft eligible in 2020 as an 18 year old then again as a 20 year old after a 2-year college stint? Or does this not happen in the game? I haven't played a franchise long enough or scouted in depth enough to find this out but was curious if this does ever happen.

I don’t know if players reappear in drafts later years down the road but I’ve definitely scouted players who I’d love to draft only to find they were not available in the draft.

I always assumed that they just went for college. I wish the game gave us more depth regarding the draft and scouting.

Ehh, not as cool as you would think. Leads to far too many 23-25 year olds being drafted, and the players do not get any better going back. So you have alot of high age and low overall players.

Aren't these issues that can be mitigated by editing ages down to normal ages and bumping up their overalls?

Is it possible to edit the names of the fictional players that are drafted during the franchise and rename them based on who the team drafted in the real life draft? Can positions, height, weight, and appearance be edited as well? Let’s say in the franchise, 5 players are drafted (a pitcher, a 2b, a SS, an OF, and another pitcher). The real life team drafts many more but their top 5 are 3 pitchers, a 3B, and an OF. Can you edit where you change the players to those 3 pitchers, the third baseman, and the outfielder? Names, positions, height, weight, handedness, appearance, etc?

You can edit draft prospects in the off-season when they join the roster. You can edit them just like any other CAP within franchise mode.

Curious why custom DCs havent been added yet since Madden, 2k have had them for years?

You can edit draft prospects in the off-season when they join the roster. You can edit them just like any other CAP within franchise mode.

I’m glad we can edit them. Would you say the easiest way of doing this would be to jot down the names of draft picks for every team during the draft and edit them sometime after the World Series when they join A ball?

You can do everything except change a pitcher to a position player or vice versa. You would have to trade the 2B/SS for a pitcher to be the base.

Why don't they join the roster immediately after being signed? Something I never understood. The ability to edit them immediately after the draft would be nice. Hard to always know who was in the previous years draft in the offseason. Being able to do it right from the sign draft picks screen would be excellent. But of course that makes way too much sense.
